GOLD TONE, located in Titusville, Florida was founded by Wayne and Robyn Rogers in 1993. Active folk musicians in the 70's and 80's, they opened Strings N' Things Music Center in 1978.
In 1993, Wayne designed the original TB-100 Travel Banjo and began manufacturing and distributing the "Traveler" by mail order. After a wonderful review by
Banjo Newsletter the TB-100 became very much in demand.
As the company grew, new innovations were combined with proven vintage designs. Dealers and customers continued to request quality banjos in a reasonable price range and soon GOLD TONE's collection included 5 strings, 6 strings, Banjitars, Mando Banjos, 4 strings, and even our renowned Banjo Bass.
At GOLD TONE, we are committed to providing you with a quality banjo at an affordable price. That means quality parts, professional design, tight fitting assembly, and an expert set up by real musicians.
Wayne continually strives for "MORE BANG FOR THE BUCK" in every design and all price points. He plays every instrument before shipment and verifies GOLD TONE'S commitment to great tone, superb set-up, and your musical satisfaction!

“Paul Roberts has become a wonderful ambassador of the cello banjo, and an enthusiastic proponent of beautifully unexpected world music arranged for the instrument, with considerable skill to match!”
Adam Hurt
Paul is a professional musician, composer, concert producer, music journalist, arts-in-education specialist, music therapist - and founder/director of Elation Center for the Arts, a nonprofit in Southwest Colorado dedicated to the preservation of traditional music and dance.
Beginning with classical music as a child, Paul crossed over to plucked string instruments, in his teens. His entrée into the music profession, in 1962, was as a performer and teacher of 5-string banjo.
The banjo has been Paul’s portal to a fascinating musical journey in plucked string instruments from around the world: sitar, oud, saz, charango, sarod, cittern, guitar, mandolin, mandocello and several types of banjos (tenor, clawhammer, bluegrass and cello).
Paul’s current interest is arranging and composing music for 4-string and 5-string cello banjos. He plays both the Gold Tone CEB-4 and CEB-5. “Cello banjos have a tonality all their own,” says Paul. “I really enjoy exploring musical topography on a banjo whose sound isn’t automatically identified as a banjo. To me, they sound like instruments from the past, which of course they are - but way beyond their history in America. In these instruments, I hear sounds of ancient cultures, waiting to come back to life.”
Paul’s musical partnership with his wife, Carla Roberts, began in 1974. Carla - a gifted vocalist, dancer and instrumentalist - plays marimba, cheng, recorders, harp, hammer dulcimer, banjo and dumbek. The Duos’ world music shows have been highly successful on the fine arts concert circuit, and they have performed world music programs in elementary schools for over a million children.
In the ‘60’s, Paul performed with Jon Landau who is Bruce Springsteen’s manager/producer, and Kate Taylor who is James Taylor’s singing sister.
Paul’s innovative work as a music therapist was formative in his perceptions about the profound health benefits of music.
In the Gold Tone family of musical instruments Paul Roberts can be found playing the 4 and 5-String Cello Banjos, Banjola, Dojo, IT-250 and PS-250.
£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!

Thank you for the friendship. Country music has changed so much over the years…it sounds more like pop instead. I keep it country. Received several email/comments from myspace friends/fans letting me know that In Their Eyes was their wedding song. I was honored to appear at my first myspace wedding to sing this song as their wedding song & their first dance. Check out my video Bare Huggin’. Stop by for a listen and if you would like to buy one of my CD’s, please visit coltebradley.net

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
Thank you thank you Goldtone for choosing me for Artist of the Month! It's very exciting and it's an honor to have been chosen. There are so many wonderful players in this community. I hope everyone enjoys the 7 songs I've selected. Some of it is very old, some is very new. Eric Van der Wyk aka "King Tet"
