Sounds Like
I died as inanimate matter and arose a plant,
I died as a plant and rose again an animal.
I died as an animal and arose a man.
Why then should I fear to become less by dying?
I shall die once again as a man
To rise an angel perfect from head to foot!
Again when I suffer dissolution as an angel,
I shall become what passes the conception of man!
Let me then become non-existent, for non-existence
Sings to me in organ tones, 'To him shall we return.'

Original sound guys... I hear elements of progressive rock, classic rock and jam band all mixed together so well that you can't be pigeonholed as any single one of them. Thanks for the intro and best of luck with the project. Cheers - Mike

So, I decided to dig on ya guys for a bit today, seeing as there was a friend request hidden in a box on my laptop. I must say, after listening to every song, this is some pretty tasty stuff, the licks and/or riffs are nicely written and played, and the vocals are nothing short of that either. I must say KUDOS, to the Gates of light, may your musical journey bring you to a place of understanding. =)
What up? I'll be in the Bay Area the week of Thanksgiving. It would be nice to damage my hearing at least once that week. Have amp.... will punish.... All the best to GOL!
I love your music especially "Channel Cross", thanks for finding me!
I hope you tour to Toronto at some point, it would be great to have you here :) Keep in touch.

I like your profile pic- It reminds me of Willam Blake- Your quote on your profile page is nice too, and we share a love for Peter Gabriel I see... We must be from the same soul family....
Thank you for the add. You definitely know how to craft a 'progressive' rock song in the truest sense of the word as I see it. All the elements are there ESPECIALLY in the song Aur y El, from the psychedelic and evocative song structure to the singing style, storytelling lyrics and even a captivating song title to boot. This is by far my favourite song. Aberfoyle comes close with the emphasis on acoustic for a change in pace, and both Channel Cross and Quickling are good standards to build a good foundation on. The only song that didn't do too much for me was Abulafia ~ sounds like it's been done too many times before. But I'm far too critical.. All in all, good work guys!
