These guys are the real thing. Not only are they some of the most fluid instrumentalists, great songs seem to dominate over being flashy and solo heavy. Sonically this new recording sounds microscopic and in your freakin' face. GZ is like a progressive version of dire straits, ill wordplay, and adventurous arrangements. These cats came all the way to Chicago, toteing all their recording gear with them, just to capture a few riffs from me. Needless to say, they mean holy biz!

More recently, Gongzilla has included some U.S. jamband heroes, like guitarist Chuck Garvey of moe., and has emphasized vocals, crafting songs which fuse with improvisational rock.
