Gonzo (circus) is a sound-generating bimonthly independent magazine on new music and culture!
Inspired by Hunter S. Thompson we bring quality information in Dutch about non-commercial and avant-garde music from home and abroad since 1991. The attention goes to the kaleidoscope of contemporary music styles: from jazz and improv, contemporary classic and guitar rock to industrial noise, experimental electronics to joyful pop music or world music. Starting from the idea of cross-fertilization and also being convinced that music isn't isolated in society, we also pay attention to novels, comics, movies, theater, the plastic arts, video art, essay, new media, design and society-related issues.
Since 1995, the now famous Mind The Gap-compilation cd is added, independently compiled by the editorial staff. Nearly every issue contains an extra label- or festivalsampler.
Gonzo (circus) supports local talent with it’s project ‘Track13’. Every two year we release the special Track13 double cd.
Furthermore we sometimes organize events in co-operation with venues e.g. The Mauromachine@De Buren in Brussels. Our Gonzo dj’s can be admired monthly at Stuk in Leuven and at festivals across the Low Countries.

Hello all, this will be our final release of 2009, and a great way to end the year... Pinklogik asked 10 artists and friends to remix her entire "Learning To Trust Higher Frequencies" album and what an eclectic and stunningly produced work this is. Each track has its own feel, thanks to the diverse range of artists involved in the project. A shimmering journey through ambient colours, broken beats, sweet melodies, a little bit of quantum physics, and is one hell of a trip....

Om 21:30 speelt de atmospherische Nijmegse indie-outfit The Netherlands nummers van hun nieuwe CD "We Are Not...". Om 22:30 is het de beurt aan Koko Cohen, die zal trakteren op de eerste presentatie van zijn tweede CD Bozophobia, samen met een speciale korte film. De Haagse singer-songwriter Arno Loriaux begint de nacht om 20:00 en wordt gevolgd door Rotterdamse indierockers Politics. Afterparty met DJ's en gedans tot de koeien thuiskomen.
Adviruz is the artist psedonym of Istanbul’s Pinar Gurcan, whose growing passion for sound is translated through her music. Since an early age, she has been listening and mimicking opera singers, writing melodies, songs and poems in which she spoke her mind and reflected her soul. All of which are evident on "Nightly Sounds", an 8 track album which is the equivilent of having a glimpse into a diary, learning of love lost, gained, a snapshot of the human condition from which we can all draw experience... All of these things are developed musically into minimalistic glitch, noise, idm, experimental music and microsounds, its influences reminiscent of work by artists like Tujiko Noriko, Mira Calix, Plaid and Björk.
