goodbye Gadget is a female-fronted alt-rock/punk/pop band from Oakland , CA . The band was formed in 2007 by Ana Isabel and Jessie Loberstein, after collaborating together in other musical endeavors. A month after leaving his own band, Pave was recruited by singer Ana and guitarist Jessie to play drums. Neil Hagge, the newest member, joined in 2008 after the release of the band’s initial album, bringing in a whole new element: keyboards.
Influenced by bands such as AFI, Shiny Toy Guns and Alkaline Trio with a singer frequently compared to Gwen Stefani goodbye Gadget’s debut album “Killing June” fuses melodic rock into punk with an emotional undertone. goodbye Gadget's EP entitled “Because, I Am Not Myself You See”, scheduled to be released September 1, 2009 reflects the band’s musical progression into a sound uniquely their own. Now incorporating keys as well as synth, the band has found a niche: A balance of Alternative Indie Rock, pop and Electronica, with catchy hooks and slight punk remnants.
With shows that have included the ESPN X Games in LA, the San Jose Grand Prix, California Warped Tour dates and more, the band is showing no signs of slowing down. They have opened for bands like Sugarcult, The Donnas and The Vandals and have shared festival bills with the Violent Femmes, Dresden Dolls, MXPX and Reel Big Fish. Their music has also been featured on MTV’s “Punk’d” as well as Fusion Television.
goodbye Gadget is sponsored by Marshall Amplification, Daisy Rock Guitars, SJC Custom Drums and A Burning Hollywood Romance clothing.
