Goodbye!Nao! formed in October 2005,band named by famous retired Japan AV-star,Nao Saejima.
Goodbye!Nao! might not be called a “Rock” band, but no one could describe them accurately. People might say that their sound is composed by many different style of music, fulled of skipping image, or the combination of experimental noise and melody.
Although Goodbye!Nao! set as standard rock band, they often perform with Performance Art, Action Art, Live Art, Installation Art, Visual Art and video. July 2006, Goodbye!Nao! was invited by the experimental muti-media and visual exhibition - “Altered States” to perform at the opening night party - “Noise Night” with some famous Taiwan and Canada experimental sound artists.
Oct 2006, Goodbye!Nao! played with Dirty Three in their 2006 Asia Tour. They went to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taipei. Nov & Dec 2006, Goodbye!Nao! played with famous China experimental sound artist - “Yan-Jun” in his Taiwan tour. Goodbye!Nao! also performed in some local festival like Spring Scream, Autumn Tiger Festival and Hill Festival.(They set up Hill Festival with some friends.)
“ Goodbye!Nao! was like those experimental bands in 80’s who did not know where the limit of music is. Cause of this ignorance, they were not afraid to add many and various elements such as old pop song, metal solo from Ke(vocal & guitarist of famous Taiwanese punk band - LTK), Japaness cartoon or items and drama with vague meaning into their live performance. Their live performance was the biggest sound and visual experiment in Taipei. Goodbye!Nao! was good at enraging their innocent audience, but they just had the magic that made people go to their performance again and again. You couldn’t find any ordinariness of general concert in their performance. Being touched, otherwise you would say “Goodbye!Nao! Sucks ! ” They were unusual, and let you think where the limit of music is. ”

“ Start as Stacatto Reads, high-pressure, disordered and psychedelic. After mist-style noise filling the house, there is a melancholic silence. After that, here comes an old pop song from the old radio. There is another silence after this song, and the real beginning starts. Two independent guitars, tough bass line, and drum for the foundation of music. Let me think about Labardford - egocentric post-rock, talk to no one. The heavy wave, mellow processing, experimental noise-wall and Minimalism-al melody fill the house as billows. “Why do people always talk in the same and perform in the same way? “ This is the best concert that I have never seen. If Post-rock exist, Goodbye!Nao! is it. In my mind, post-rock is just a successful experiment. It could be everything. It’s a excellent performance, fucking excellent. “
