Chris Dreyer and Scott Taylor met in London in the spring of 2001, while studying abroad. The 3 shows they played at London's famed 12 Bar Club resemble their present lot of gigs throughout New York City, passionate music making driven by Chris Dreyer's enlightened songwriting.
The two paid their dues on the college circuit before spending a year in Nashville honing their craft. Touring the country and mingling with the industry heavyweights Nashville inhabits gave the group direction and the guidance to make the move to New York and dive into its potpourri of a music scene. The boys got a taste of the city performing at the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon.
2008 has been a great year for Goodbye Picasso. In between regular gigs at venues including Don Hill's and Rockwood Music Hall, the group is working on some recording projects and looking towards a fall calendar of an EP/album release and all that goes with it.
Thanks Chris! Things are always crazy with 2 young children, but I'm definitely blessed. If you ever play any shows in Jax let me know. Take care of yourself!
Great music! I do miss those laid back days of sitting around listening to you (Chris) and Nate play in the flat. Some of the most beautiful things in life are the things that are so simple. To just sit and listen. I miss that.
love all the new jams... Making my first visit to NYC, and its you I want to see. So please tell me you'll be playing the last week of July/first weekend in August!
You look suspiciously like this guy I used to know named Chris Dryer...lol I am glad you are pursuing your music career...I remember london flat jams back in the day. If you ever decide to hop coasts and visit the LA kids, my boyfriend is a drummer (formerly the drummer for Glass in Tallahassee) and he has a great support network of musicians out here. Good luck man!
Did you steal my pictures and I'm not even in your TOPS?!?!?!?! Blasphemy! Is there a way I can take back that email I just sent to the president of Universal Music Group about your showcase tonight? Hmmm.
