Goodbye Sergeants are back, with 6 spanking new tracks, collectively known as 'An Opuscule Worthy of a Monstrance'... or 'Shut your f**king facebook'... or 'Robert Mugabe's String vest and Other Unwanted Presents'... it all depends which band member you want to believe. Personally I'm leaving it open.
Yes it is true! We've finally got it together, engraved it in binary and burned it onto plastic, ready to be hurled into the hungry hands of 'dirty old Blightey' and other unsuspecting nations. Expect the catchy, quirkiness of the old, melded with the finesse of the new and a pumping, homemade production with cherry on top.
This here be the constitution:
1. Out of My Depth
2. United K
3. Ready to Burst
4. Control
5. Through With This
6. Nobody's Listening
We will be giving away two track samplers at gigs around London in the run up to our upcoming shows so try lay your hands on one if you can.
Speaking of gigs, you can expect even more new songs than the few on display here, so be there. Nuff said.
"This is, without question, the best demo EP I've ever heard.... How many times have you wished that bands would just shut up whining and turn it up to 11? Well, this is the band for you." - Hayden Spencely, The Mag
"...As infectious as an STD..." - Sat Bisla, Indie 103.1FM, LA
"...Goodbye Sergeants seem to be a much needed bridge between indie and rock and as such could give them a whole army of adoring fans. Only time will tell but on the basis of this they're climbing up to the top of the mountain and it all looks good! ...(10/13)" - Jim Ody, Room Thirteen
"...Old skool (always with a 'k') rock 'n' roll along the lines of Motorhead and ACDC but slap bang in the present with a self aware delivery and irreverent attitude that give it that eccentric English twist...." - Xfm
"...It..s fair to say that this band have surpassed the expectations laid down by their strange biography and with their pacey rock and roll sound, I..d be happy to chance a live show - as long as they promise not to urinate in my beer...(8/10)" - Steve Fenton, The Mag
"...Masters of witticisms and working the press..." - Kate O'Flaherty, NME
"...Check them out before you have to sell your right kidney to buy tickets off eBay to see them..." - First Light Records
"...I would definitely go see them again and would recommend if you get an opportunity to go see them live. You will not be disappointed..." - Spook, Bitjobs.net
"...My advice when listening to this band is to turn up the volume on the stereo to the maximum level possible and the most improbable time of night, ... and with the windows wide open... Throbbing riffs and fast beats where mind and body unite, in a liberating and unstoppable, unbroken sound. Really enjoyable...!"
- Claudio Baroni, IdeaBiografica.com [translated from Italian]

It’s been far too long since I last said hello and so much has happened I thought it about time we said did.
We’ve changed a lot, now we are an “UltraModern, post-electro rock, post-nu rave behemoth where Muse and Mansun meet a Massive Attack with Duran Duran pop sensibilities, louder guitars, and a stunning female front person/guitar virtuoso”, or so we have been told.
I’d love to know what you’ve been up to since we disappeared into the dark damp studio cave, let us know how it’s going, I’m always up for a chat! May your thoughts be Scarlet and your actions Blonde ;-) Dawn xx Scarlet/blonde

Thank you for adding "Grapes from Thornbushes"! There is an excerpt of Chapter 1 in the blog on our page which will hopefully give you an idea about the book.
It's not easy to write about the unsigned rock scene, but this book hopefully captures the essence of what goes on - the love, the hatred, the competition, the passion, the disappointments, the dilemmas...
Your comments, observations, and feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
