NEWS and NEWS.
Dear friends and friends.
We humbly inform you that we have been working like slaves to serve the Riff. Battles with time and money on all fronts, east and west, north and south continue with a smile on our face. The results will be presented very soon. Out of our Good day studios in Korchula (In gear since this summer) arise 11 new songs. The final production will be done by Mr. Billy Anderson who needs no introduction to the good people of the Riff :))
The name of the album will be presented soon with other new things.
To inform those in the dark.
Our long time brothers in arms Steps and G. are no longer with us on this album and tour.
We would like to thank them for giving so much heart, soul, time, ideas, music, laughs and dreams to the craziness called Gooddaytodie through the years. They will always be a part of GD2D. "What a fuckn ride bros"... We love you guys and wish you all the best with your bands and life. Another special thanks to our good friend and outstanding guitar player Matija Ratko "Rale" for all his help. See you all on some stage and bar. Ha :))))
The new guys need no introduction to the underground circles of our little music scene.
On percussion, a great musician earning his bread of the roll & beet of his 1968 Ludwig & Yamaha drums. Mr. Rene Kuticic http://www.myspace.com/mrrencha.
On bass an old friend and fan from the early days of GD2D. Mr. Marijan Grgich, the silent one. Great guitar & bass player, electronics, production, computer wiz (www.gd2d.com on line now) and a stand up young lad :)
We have stayed true to the musical direction of GD2D. A ride & search through endless spaces of progressive psyhedelic, stoner, blues with a strong dark and doomy metal edge.
I know you people will enjoy the album.
Can't wait to see you all rock with us on the "TOTAL DRIVE TOUR" starting March 12. 2010.
Bless you all where ever you are!
Cheers & Beers
Yvan :x

"Good Day to Die - Hazing Through Shadows"
Good Day to Die - Hazing Through Shadows
Review by Nick DeMarino (StonerRock.com)
Dallas Records
Release Date: Month 2008
It’s hard to play in a tried and true s t y l e without sounding bland or redundant, but Croatia’s misanthropically optimistic Good Day to Die do just that. Hazing Through Shadows may not make much grammatical sense, but it makes plenty of musical sense. Take two parts Queen of the Stone Age, one part Electric Wizard, and a smidgeon of High on Fire, and you’ve got one serving of Good Day to Die. The quintet offers thick guitar tones, catchy hooks, and some aggressive grooving. The vocals range from melodic singing to Matt Pike-ian rasps. Opener “Crush the Skies” is the obvious single, while the somber “The Oldest New” and colossal “The Path of the Cross” are also memorable. The rest of Hazing Through Shadows is strong because of smart changes and progressive elements, although the melodies don’t have quite enough sticking power to resonate after the bobbing sections. Good Day to Die have a great base from which to branch out. Hopefully next time around they stretch their boundaries a bit.

METAL HAMMER REVIEW
Current mood:
excited" Proving that inspirational music emerges from the unlikelist nooks, Good Day to Die rumble out of the musical hotbed of Zagreb, Croatia with a marvellous debut album. The thumbprint of Today is the Day frontman Steve Austin, the deranged genius behind records from Converge, Goatsblood, Lamb of God and many more, and the man responsible for mixing "Hazing Through Shadows", is all over these nine songs. Combining psychedelic hard rock, grindcore, doom metal and fiery electric blues, the quartet's material begins dreamily then spirals off into other tangents, the Alice in Chains-like the "Oldest new" confirming the bands expertise at building a mood, then heating to boiling point through adding others, distorting elements. The voice of classical-metal babe Ivana of the band Angel Seed spices up "Possessed by poe" still further. Great stuff. "

I upravo zato, dok se ostali polako penju, Good day To Die već maše zastavicom s vrha.
