I have a new short story on my page: ‘Making A Killing’, which could be described as an ‘art thriller.’ It looks at the values that different people place upon different types of art and approaches the subject with equal measures of comedy and suspense. Ultimately it’s something of a riot and a joke with no morals or opinions of its own.
It’s a departure from previous stories that have explored more metaphysical notions – although ‘Buddha’ does have a cameo role.

El grupo albaceteño Swann cumple en este 2009 diez años de carrera musical. Para este décimo aniversario Swann regresa al estudio de grabación para hacer entrega de lo que será su tercer disco. Para ello en este mes de marzo iniciarán la grabación en los estudios La furgoneta azul situados en una casa rural en Villarrobledo.
Este nuevo trabajo será editado bajo el sello Molusco Discos, sello discográfico creado por ellos mismos hace cuatro años. Bajo este sello editaron su anterior trabajo Manual de Espejos (2005). Su primer disco, Llamados al olvido (2003), fue editado por Vaso Music. Tras su segunda obra Swann publicó un E.p. instrumental, Golosinas y cerveza (2006), que solamente fue posible conseguir a través de descargas en Internet por medio de su página web. Aquí dejaban entrever un giro hacia una visión más instrumental y una complejidad en la estructura de las canciones.
Este tercer disco verá la luz a finales de año. En él podrán verse reflejados aspectos que siempre han destacado en el grupo como sus líricas letras y la contundencia de su parte musical. Para este nuevo trabajo contarán con varias colaboraciones entre las que vuelven a repetir el pintor Pepe Enguídanos y el fotógrafo Adolfo López en la parte gráfica.
Para el título de esta tercera entrega han realizado un concurso desde su myspace (www. myspace. com/swannpop) donde se pueden leer las letras de las canciones para que se sugiera un posible título basado en su lectura.
Swann siguen siendo: Carlos Martínez (voz y guitarras), Toño Cifuentes (guitarras), Ricardo García (batería) y Pedro Gascón (bajo y voces).
