Raised in Tennessee, living Brooklyn.
Well, about the band... GGT started in Nashville, TN, oh say, 2002 with Gieves and Moses writing and recording demos for what would become the GGT record "Ruins." The band acquired a quick following, but as many others, were short-lived. As the founding members moved on to other things, the demos were released without their knowledge by a young entrepreneur who managed to get them radio play, internet sales, titles to the songs, a title for the record, and a song order. It was then unofficially released as, "Strut."
Eventually, GGT found out through word of mouth of the underhanded dealings and shut down production of there unfinished record and that was the end of that.
Coincidentally, both members moved to Brooklyn in '05 and reunited with their old friends from Detachment Kit, Ian and Charles H. Davis III. Being huge fans of the old record, it was decided that GGT must be raised from the dead and given a proper introduction to the world.
The new lineup spent the quasi-cold winter months developing the new reincarnation of Good Gospel Truth, writing new songs and preparing for their New York debut set for summer '08. It will look something like this:
Gieves: guitar vocals
Moses: vocals, bass
Charles H. Davis III: guitar, vocals
Ian: drums, vocals.
The band will be debuting in July.
The songs posted are those from the record Ruins.

Hey - yeah actually, discovered DK through Eureka Gold. Jordan produced the album of this band I used to be in and the first time we met him he played us some of the Make Out with Violence stuff... so damn cool...
I'm fully aware of the impending doom you're bringing to my doorstep. You also will be arriving in Montreal two days after I leave. I wish I'd known that you guys were going to be up there. I could have shift my 9 day trip in the area to include you. Jeremy Rush doesn't tell me anything. Has he told you I have Scabies?
The first show at Supreme Trading didn't feel like a first show. It felt like a second show. Just kidding. It felt like a second-coming. Of Jesus H. Christ. And that is the Good Gospel Truth. I pray for more. Do it.
