Adina Friedman has her finger on the pulse of new talent in an industry constantly evolving in terms of technology and taste. She introduced formerly Ann Arbor-based Tally Hall to Atlantic Records, which led to the band's signing. Combining her business experience and creativity, Adina put her unwavering enthusiasm for new talent to work and started her own management company, Good Kid Entertainment, in 2008. She discovered and currently manages retro pop artist April Smith. Earlier this year she began partnering up with A&R guru Leigh Lust and together they started managing New York based band the Dig.
A Detroit native, Adina started out as a college marketing representative for Atlantic Records at the University of Michigan, organizing shows and promoting artists in Ann Arbor. Her passion for the industry brought her to New York City, where she interned in the company's radio promotion department, which later lead to a full-time job in Warner Music Group Advertising. There, Friedman's hard work and dedication allowed her to quickly rise through the ranks from Assistant to Manager, a job which included overseeing multi-million dollar ad budgets. She has gained extensive experience in interactive marketing, including overseeing the execution, launch, and content management of artist websites such as Paramore, Buckcherry, and Shinedown.
Hi Adina, I Hope you'll stop by. One of the artists I co-produced is playing and just finished 2 SNL spots with Ray Lamontaine. Congrats on the Deli Mag Nom to April- watch out for the white jackets!!:
