  • Bio

.. Good News materialized near and then promptly, violently exploded onto the thriving, bustling Kalamazoo music scene in late 2009. Instantly recognized as among the very best of local instrumental, alternative, progressive rock duos with math and science influences, local music-lovers were instantaneously confounded when faced with Good News' vast array of verbal riddles, and were rendered even more bewildered when Good News began playing songs. .. Good News has since been described frequently as "Martyrs of Islamic and non-Islamic instrumental music alike," "A good reason to breathe," and most commonly, "My FAVORITE band I'm in." In early-mid 2010 Good News finally consented to the common philosophy among myspace bands that band bios are directly proportionate to the quality of the party described, a move that was met with both glee and pants-wetting by both fans and critics alike. Upon this announcement 50% (roughly three) of Good News fans were moved to tears, mostly of joy, though one was allegedly moved to commit seppuku (ritual Japanese Suicide), citing Good News' becoming d-bags as his prime motivation. Late May brought an end to the so-called "Era of Good News Bio-Reaction," and Good News continues to soar untethered to new heights. .. Reviewers have recently possibly said that "Good News has an innate, remarkable ability of figuring out what their fans want, and force-feeding them exactly what they desire out of an antique corn-trough, presuming their fans are looking for the precision blend of silly math-duo rock and corn that Good News offers." .. As of wednesday, May something or other Good News has been known to play loud surprise shows outside of coffee shops that send their local town into a murderous rage. Good News has defended themselves with pitchforks tuned to provide a C-lydian feeling. Good News has also recently been accused of hanging out and/or throwing gas station parties, and yelling things at stupid meth-heads until the meth-heads' heads exploded. .. 10,000 Buildings Live. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

Hahaha, no way. That would be like a rhino fighting a snake. They're way too different. You guys are all technical and play tight as hell...we're sloppier than a fat guy at a fishn'chips restaurant. I think we are of equal skill at our respective styles.

Motherfucker November 4th! This week! It'll be off the chain. Thanks about the recordings, too. A lot of hours went into them, and I'm glad you picked a lot of bears to represent them.
