music, reclaiming broadcast radio one weekly show at a time, humor, intelligence; making my young daughter laugh, making her mom laugh even more; editorial cartooning, graphic design and print production, writing, rambling tangents; live music, making music, good food, good wine, a good cigar, spinach, pizza, garlic butter, the darkest chocolate imaginable, good beer, single-malt Scotch [the closer to Cromarty, the better], maybe a little Knob Creek Bourbon too, big-bold cups of coffee; New Orleans, Michigan, Texas, Oregon, Memphis, Boston, Chicago, D.C., Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Key West, Scotland, London, Paris, Amsterdam; colors that defy description; social and political satire, making fun of powerful people and celebrities; imaginary and prime numbers, theories on metaphysics, and The Good Show, of course!

Who I'd like to meet: Smart people with a sense of humor.
Folks who want to hear great music not often heard on commercial radio and, of course, quick-witted globe-trotting super models with the capacity to deeply appreciate a decent game of backgammon or maybe even Spades.
No crypto-fascist political talking-point repeaters, please.
I can listen to Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly or one their wannabees, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, most morning network news shows, or one of the last half-dozen State of The Union addresses for the latest propaganda.
Besides, for a real news program, you should be watching Keith Olbermann's show, Countdown. It's the only weeknight news show on MSNBC worth watching. Really.
Actually, I enjoy discussing politics, just tired of hearing the same false info or red herring repeated, ping-ponging from one pundit to another, to the point even Pavlov would get annoyed.
Fantasy dinner guests: Elvis Costello, Polly Jean Harvey, Cornel West, Ashley Judd, Christiane Amanpour, Jon Stewart, Tina Fey, William Wesley, Keith Olbermann, Al Franken, Howard Zinn, Alice Cooper, Barack Obama, Siouxsie Sioux, Joe Bob Briggs, Bill Moyers, Muhammad Ali, Bill Schaeffer, Walter Cronkite, Ben Kweller, Diane Lane, Angie Dickinson; and if they were still alive: Albert Einstein, Francis Crick, Dorothy Parker, E.M. Forster, Mahatma Gandhi, Mark Twain, Marlon Brando, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Puccini, Abigail Adams, Frank Zappa, Leo Tolstoy, Buckminster Fuller, Eleanor Roosevelt, Edward R. Murrow, Will Rogers, Martin Luther King, Ben Franklin, Nikola Tesla, Guglielmo Marconi, Charlie Parker, Cole Porter, John Lennon, Joe Strummer, Charles Mingus, Mile Davis, Femi Kuti, Nick Drake, Ralph Waldo Emerson, William Shakespeare, Charles Bukowski, Herman Melville, Edgar Allen Poe, Jessie Owens, Carter Albrecht, my ancestral namesake, Emily Dickinson.
This is our first full length episode and features all three members of D³! This is actually the story concept that started it all. Be sure to leave us feedback and a comment/rating over at youtube is always appreciated.

It’s been far too long since I last said hello and so much has happened I thought it about time we said hello.
We’ve changed a lot, now we are an “UltraModern, post-electro rock, post-nu rave behemoth where Muse and Mansun meet a Massive Attack with Duran Duran pop sensibilities, louder guitars, and a stunning female front person/guitar virtuoso”, or so we have been told.
I’d love to know what you’ve been up to since we disappeared into the dark damp studio cave, let us know how it’s going, I’m always up for a chat!
Hope you like the tunes. Come celebrate with us at our next show Feb 21st (We got signed) . We’re playing at the Vampire Lounge 11311 Harry Hines Blvd Dallas, TX . Write back =)

BONNE ANNÉE, GROSSES BISES et VIVE le ROCK...
The second release in the Archaic Fetishism series is a four way split cassingle featuring bizzaro carnival pop songs by Eskimeaux, Raindrops Falling From Heaven, The New Heaven And The New Earth, and Snow Caps.
Eskimeaux is Gabrielle Smith, also known for her work as a member of Br'er. Eskimeaux starts the set with the aptly named "Dreamy Pop Song II," an icy, distant song that embodies the bittersweet loneliness and overwhelming temptation of unobtainable love.
Raindrops Falling From Heaven is the solo work of Ugh God percussionist Dan Angel. Side A closes with Angel's debut track "Old Lady Love," an infectious piece of electronic pop.
The New Heaven and the New Earth is the latest from Roger Martinez, also known as a member of Br'er and a founding member of The Private Sea. Side B opens with "I Live in The Trees," an ode to alienation in the form of an acid-soaked carousel waltz.
Snow Caps is the brainchild of Andrew Keller, who also plays in Hermit Thrushes. Snow Caps closes the set with "Winter Pop Song", a summation of the diverse range of sounds heard on Archaic Fetishism 2 that simulatenously bears Keller's unmistakable songwriting fingerprint.
Archaic Fetishism 2 is a limited release of 100 cassingles packaged in handmade felt pouches, assembled by hot glue

excerpt from the Fort worth weekly's best of 2008 issue Best Local Music Show in Last 12 Months Critic’s choice: Bertha Coolidge, Lola’s Saloon, April 16 Mainly because bassist Aden Bubeck plays in the band of Grammy-winning Nashville star Miranda Lambert and drummer Rick Stitzel lives in Chi-town, Bertha plays a show, oh, once every blue moon. The fusion jazz band’s weekday set at Lola’s was by far the best we’ve ever seen from the quartet and easily the best of the year, cooking from beginning to end. Even the musicians themselves said they were amazed at the synergy that seemed to form effortlessly.
Lost watching party at Lola's on 6th street starting @ 8pm-10pm On a 108" HD projection screen with sound run through the house audio system Drink specials see below
