Goofy Foot is a spontaneous group of musicians who enjoy playing live music in the company of their friends. The birth of Goofy Foot was merely an accident. In July of 2005, friends Andy Manz, Austin Chamberlin and Zach Carruthers talked a local bar owner into letting them play an acoustic set on the back patio. After great response from their board-short and flip-flop wearin' crowd, the boys decided to get practicing and keep the momentum going. The trio quickly started filling up area venues.
In September of 2006 accomplished bass guitar/drums duo Bob Kaat and Wes Burrows joined the band to solidify the groove section. In 2006 the brother/sister keyboard aces Andrew and Hana Wishy joined the band. While Hana is in music school in Nashville, Andrew tickles the ivory. While Andrew is playing pro baseball in the summers, Hana fills the B3/Keyboard post. In just over a year of existance, Goofy Foot has already played with notables on the jam scene VINCE HERMAN (Leftover Salmon), Eric Gould (Particle), CLIFF STARBUCK (Ekoostik Hookah), and LARRY KEEL.
Singing about the mountains, rivers, beaches, and lakes that their individual travels have led them to, Goofy Foot is sure to take you to those places in their lyrics and live shows.
