I like songs where maybe there's a woman singing with a sultry but energetic voice, and then at a sort of climactic point, this really harmonic chorus of voices, probably mostly male, bust out in this explosion of oohs and aahs (see "Lover" by Peggy Lee with Gordon Jenkins & His Orchestra).
Sweeping Elmer Bernstein scores (see THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN or THE COMANCHEROS) are good for the spirit.
Also, I like when songs reference crying while it's raining so that people can't tell you're crying, or just liken crying to raining in general, or maybe just mention both crying and raining, or maybe even just crying, period. "Crying In The Rain" (Everly Brothers/Carole King), "Thank Goodness For The Rain" (Peanut), "I Wish It Would Rain" (Temptations), "You'll Miss Me" (They Might Be Giants), "In The Rain" (The Dramatics), "Raindrops" (Dee Clark), "Rhythm Of The Rain" (The Cascades), "Teardrops From My Eyes" (Ruth Brown), "H2O" (Charlie Rich), "You Left The Water Running" (Wilson Pickett), "It's Raining" (Irma Thomas), "Drown In My Own Tears" (Ray Charles), et cetera!Movies

I like movies where an unlikely group of misfit-types have to band together in the interests of achieving some kind of common goal (see DOGMA), or maybe where the protagonist(s) go on some sort of journey and meet a wide variety of strange and wonderful characters (see AFTER HOURS), or better yet, a combination of the two (see THE WIZARD OF OZ...or DOGMA again, for that matter).Television

Chances are great that I will not add you as my MySpace friend, unless you are my friend in real life or you otherwise prove absolutely worthwhile. That's not why I joined MySpace, my doggs.Hey guys if you wanna check out some online short films that I made, a good place to do so would be PancakeProductions.net!

Any special requests from the Pancake Gallery?
Whoa, so the Sunday thing in KC is not going to work out after all. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to come back and experience the Squidbong in its full glory if possible. Is it still possible to do a Sunday night shindig at the HQ? Please let me know!
Hey Hey! Matt had said that he had a night on Monday where he was DJing somewhere? he told me to get back to him in July so that we wouldn't just totally forget everything... but I shall be in St. Louis for 100% sure!!!! WOOO and this time I'm renting a car so no risk of abandonment.
