The Goonies were formed on a cruise ship, the Gooner Serenade, in 2001.
Ridge Fellows, former coiffeur, was performing at the evening cocktail soothing and relaxing music. Diego Rodriguez was drinking, trying to win the heart of a girl, took the microphone and started to sing... She was completely seduced by the melody, but didn't want to surrender to his kisses, and went away with his 60 years old husband.
Diego was totally upset, took his guitar and started to play the loudest and noisiest rock'n'roll songs ever heard, shouting ugly and non-sense lyrics, while Ridge, totally drunk, followed him with drums. People was in panic, chaos spread around on the ship.
The day after both were dismissed, and left at the nearest harbour, Minorca. Since then The Goonies terrified hundreds of places with their shocking shows, but never had the chance to play on a cruise ship again.

In 2004 The Goonies released their first album "Sharm el Sheik". The tracklist was inspired by a new and revolutionary concept, that they apply very often in live gigs too: The Sandwich Tracklist
The Sandwich Tracklist is made of two soft and warm slices, represented by smoothing ballads and lounge moments... they wrap a terrible sequence of hot garage rock songs, that represent whatever you'd like to see in a sandwich!!!!

Single-layer structure was the best fit for "Sharm el Sheik", but in live shows The Goonies prefer to shock the audience with multi-layer sandwitches... spiced with rap songs, magic and illusion, lap dance, strip tease, actors on the stage, break dance, and lots lots more!!!!!
