Music
Just about anything! We have a very eclectic collection of music. As a (perhaps unfair) generalization, I tend to stay away from the hardcore rap and techno...and I have to be in bizarro universe to truly enjoy country. But everything else, I listen to...Poets of the Fall, Massive Attack, Imogen Heap, Live, Tori Amos, Fallout Boy (hey, they're from Chicago!) Evanescence, H.I.M., Cranberries, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Aimee Mann, 30 Seconds to Mars, Annie Lennox, Kelly Clarkson, Coldplay, etc...
Movies
I'm horrible at answering the question. I suppose currently, the list is: The Matrix, Fight Club, 25th Hour, Dead Poet's Society, Moulin Rouge, American History X, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Just finished Desperado and rewatched Capote. Up next on my Watch list is Rome (Season 1) and Elizabeth.
Television
Stargate SG-1; House
Books
Current favorites: Memoirs of a Geisha, the Wheel of Time series, Hard-Boiled Wonderland the End of the World...
Currently reading Daywatch, The Wind-up Bird Chronicles (Murakami), and Fool's Errand (Robin Hobb). I need to finish one book before starting another! I've also been told to check out the Thomas Covenant series by Stephen Donaldson...

As for "About Me"...um. What to say?? Born and raised in the good ol' Midwest, I moved out to the New York area 7 years ago, intent on pursuing a career in Corporate America, as was expected of me. I got my Master's degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations and thought I'd be climbing the ladders in HR. Instead, I've been consulting for the past 6 years in a variety of areas, each assignment taking me further and further away from my degree. I've worked as a technical recruiter for telecom, documentation management, project analyst, and most recently, project manager for a financial services company.
My main goal and true passion is to pursue acting, a decision that did not go over well at all back at the homestead. But I've stuck with it, and have, with the New Year here, taken definitive steps to take my acting career to the next level.
When people ask me, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?", it feels like such a pointless question since I'm no where near where I thought I'd be when I graduated from graduate school...but I'm completely content with that. I've absolutely zero regrets about the academic track I took, and I'm taking all of those life experiences and pouring them into my acting. I think it makes me a better performer, a more well-rounded person, and I'm grateful for all of it.
Who I'd like to meet: There are loads of actors that I'd love to meet, pick their brains, work with them, learn from them. They all possess an aptitude that I respect, even if their careers and roles have taken them in very different directions from one another.
I'd also like to meet some real friends. I'm not particularly interested in meeting people who troll the site, writes an impersonal email, and then either never responds again, or responds with drivel. I really don't have much time to be on-line because the majority of my online time is searching for auditions and doing submissions. I love keeping in touch with friends, but only if it's reciprocated and meaningful. I would love to meet new friends who have some common interests or who are open with sharing their interests and passions.
I hope to meet some new friends and to reconnect with some old friends. Every now and then, I take a look back and think of the people who have played a part in making me who I am, who have influenced me in some way, (whether it be negatively or positively), and I remember that we are truly the sum of our experiences.
P.S. And on the heavier side of things, we need to do the same for Anand Clique. I'm thinking "Down Below" what do you think? http://www. myspace. com/anandclique
this thing is sweet, it shows you if anyone at school has a crush on you. i just tried it and it really works, some of the people who like me really suprised me lol.
Hey there, lady. Fancy meeting you here. Thanks for finding me. I was waiting for you, you know. How would you like to go down to New Orleans and do some rebuilding work for the Katrina relief?
I totally understand. Things got crazy busy for me too. I'm moving into an apartment (right across Morris Ave, so you won't even have to worry about new directions...lol) on May 1st. When I get a lil settled (like a week or two after), we should def do dinner...and you can come see the new place :-D
Hey Tammy! I have to call you later to reschedule on dinner. I forgot completely that I scheduled to go dress shopping with a friend (because I have a wedding to go to in like 2 wks...3 cheers for last minute!)
I know you said you had a night audition on Thursday, so it might have to wait 'til next week...but hey, that's still better than 6 months from now. :-)
