These are people who have influenced me,inspired me and helped me in some way along the way.. Neil young,tom waits,steve earle,ray lamontagne,ryan adams,johnny cash,bob dylan,jacob dylan and the wallflowers,noel gallagher,jeff tweedy and wilco,gillian welch and david rawlings,evan dando,the jayhawks,r.e.m,hank williams,Blind melon,iron and wine,kings of leon,nirvana,bruce springsteen,ben harper,pearl jam,remy zero,toadies,toad the wet sprocket,shawn smith(brad,satchel),mark lanegan and screaming trees,chris cornell and jolie holland..The list goes on.
I started to have a serious interest in music when i was about eleven years old..I remember my dad was a johnny cash fan and my mam a beatles fan(both of whom i got into later) but it was mostly my brother who put me onto a lot of stuff and from there i developed a further interest of my own..I bought a bass and learned how to play when i was about 17 and changed to guitar at 19..Myself and a friend michael were in a couple of (never leave the)garage bands called 'rain gel' and 'reap the whirlwind' before actually playing our first live gig as a duo called 'buffalo whitewater' in our towns arts centre in wexford in dec' 1999..After a couple of years i went alone under the name 'finn' and then just plain old me..My fondest memory is playing with 'the blind boys of alabama' after being asked on the spot just that day.I was so nervous standing behind the curtain peeping out at a full house drinking southern comfort but i survived it and managed to play many more stretching as far as dublin to bleeker street in greenwich village, new york...and so it all goes..

Yup, we are buried in snow at the moment. In fact, my car (in the pic) is still buried! I would share the snow in a heartbeat, if I only knew how :) Personally, I am considering driving south till I find some sun. What's the weather like in Ireland?
