"It is nothing short of fascinating how the pieces are composed, and you find yourself more drawn in the more you listen. Trust me when I say I don’t think any description I give here will do them justice." - Lotus Magma magazine
"Totally ramming it up in a very interesting way!" The Sound Lab, ABC Radio
.
A brief history: Though Dave Swain has self-released his sporadic, idiosyncratic, recordings through his own Gore Infidel label for several years, it was not until 2001 that he took the plunge and set about working full-time on his music with a view to releasing his first complete album.
The endless problems and minor disasters that ensued are well documented elsewhere but the 7" single 'Sportive' ("Dark, disturbing and really rather good" [!] - Rob da Bank, BBC Radio 1, "It's astonishing stuff" - Butterfly Crush) came out in 2005 and the album 'Istvan Zsolt's Plane Ticket'
("This intriguing collection of songs and sound collages" - Robert Sandall, BBC Radio 3, "This piece of intensely crafted and cared for piece of musical expression is of an absolute integrity and honesty that is rarely matched" - Dogmatik magazine) finally emerged in 2006. Without any PR machine or industry backing behind him, the exposure and response to this work has been remarkable. Featuring on six BBC radio stations, across Europe, the U.S.A., Australia, countless internet radio shows etc. - and 'Media Monkey' was also selected by The Wire magazine for inclusion on the 'Wire Tapper 16' CD in December 2006.

As Dave continues to write and record work for his next proposed album, side projects also begin to emerge and a mini album of 'other' recordings en route to 'Istvan Zsolt', entitled 'While You Were At Church', (October 2007) is also available. This 8 track collection is very much a companion volume to 'Istvan Zsolt' and has already received very favourable response from listeners and positive exposure from the likes of BBC's On The Wire, ABC's The Sound Lab, Rockomondo (France),The Garden Of Earthly Delights etc.
£7.00 (GB pounds sterling) INCLUDING WORLDWIDE SHIPPING
A rather different but also very popular side project to emerge has been the circuit bent recordings - the 7 track 'Circuit Bent Selections' e.p. is now available via iTunes / download sites and has been receiving excellent feedback and media exposure. ("Fascinating stuff indeed" - Roger Hill, Popular Music Show, BBC Radio Merseyside) Please note that this is a download only release.
