One of the great influences to the group is the unbelievable work of Chuck Schuldiner's DEATH, and all the great brutal death metal bands worldwide. Also, all great bands of Death Metal scene and another styles, like Classic music, Jazz, Fusion, Progressive, 60's and 70's music.
Goreslave was founded by Messias Júnior (Drums and Vocals) in August/1999. The first material, a 3-songs demo entitled "Into The Abyss" was released in July/2000. The good acceptation in the Underground scenery produces important contacts around the world. This material is distributed for a lot of countries, resulting in the participation
of metal compilations (Rock Soldiers vol. 5) and some gigs with great
names of brazilian metal scene.
"A Tide Of Suffering Will Come..."
In 2003, the last copies of "Into The Abyss" were distributed. Meanwhile,
the band writes the first full-length album. But in december of the same year, a tumour is diagnosticated in José
Lima (Bass). His death, in June/2004, leads the group to stop the activities, including
the recording sessions, and cancel the release of the first album. An eternal brother of great fights lost the battle against cancer... and
the battle of Goreslave comes to an end...
Rebuilding The Pillars
Some months later, a new bassist enter in the group. His name, Edílson
Lyma. His force and dedication put the band again on the road. In March/2005,
Messias Júnior bring to life another project: Symbolic Records. With this totally independent label, Goreslave
re-release the Into The Abyss demo, including 4 new songs, recorded live
in 2000 with José Lima (his last register in the band). In August/2005,
is time to Letácio Tavares (Guitar) go away from the band, replaced by Cyro Correia, that leaves the group 1 year later. Messias Júnior reactivate the group in 2008, and a new guitar player, Adeilson Junior, join to build an another step to Goreslave's journey. Now they follow in intense battle to find a new guitar player, record and release the first album.
Some Words About The Group
Speaking about themes of human and spiritual natures, Goreslave uses the life
and its traps as inspiration. The name "Goreslave" is a reference to the form
how the mankind leads itself through the times, transforming actions and
thoughts in a state of complete slavery, imprisoned by dogmas, outdated inheritances
and absorbing the imperfections and alienations of a sick humanity in its essence.
Goreslave performs a Brutal Death
Metal, fast, morbid and extreme, but with melodic and heavy roots. This product
is result from a lot of musical influences. With a new line-up coming soon, Goreslave are ready to continue in the path of Underground
scenery, spreading its works and purposes.
