GTV, Gorlok Television, is a student-run on-campus television station that functions through Webster University’s School of Communications. It is an extra-curricular organization that looks to provide the student body with both fun and educational programming while promoting on-campus organizations and featuring student life whenever possible.
GTV was reborn in 2007 with a fresh crew and three returning members. The structure of programming was reevaluated and the decision was made to focus primarily on student-produced content rather than corporate sponsored material.
On November 6, 2007 the new GTV premiered with the first GTV News broadcast in several years. More and more shows will gradually make their way onto students’ television sets and computers, thanks to VFPortal in the residence halls. There will always be obstacles and, yes, ‘technical difficulties,’ but that’s what makes a great college experience.
At GTV we are committed to doing our best and getting fresh content out to the students as quickly as possible. We are and always will be very grateful for the patience and trust Webster has put into us as we’ve begun rebuilding Gorlok Television. As always, stay tuned!
