Edyta Górniak is one of the most popular female singers in history of Polish pop music.
Edyta is being hailed as the next big international female singer. Described as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion all rolled into one, the singer has already had huge successes outside Poland in countries such as Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Portugal and South Africa.
In 1994 Edyta was the first Polish artist to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 1994, in which she claimed a highly creditable second place, which still stands as Poland's best showing in the contest. Her song was "To nie ja" ("That's Not Me"), which was also released in English as "Once in a lifetime".
"To nie ja" proved to be her breakthrough in Poland, becoming there the biggest hit of the year 1994. Her first studio album "The Touch" released year later has moved half-million units only in Poland, bringing eponymous hit "Dotyk". In 1996 she signed a contract in London with EMI International for recording of five albums.
Edyta released her first English album "Edyta Gorniak" a year later, in association with the producer Chris Neil, responsible for international success of Celine Dion. Success of singles
"When You Come Back To Me" and
"One & One" let the album to make an impact with sales of half-million units.
In 2002 she was signed to Virgin Germany. In 2003 album "Invisible" had international premiere. It was produced by team Absolute responsible for success of Spice Girls and containing club hit "Impossible".
In February 2006 she released club single "Sexuality". Then Edyta left idea of recording club music and began works on her new pop album. The first result was single "Loving You" from December 2006.
In October 2007 she released her first studio album in five years, "E.K.G.", promoted by the single "List".
To this day Edyta has sold over 2 million albums, has won 39 awards, was featured on 160 magazine covers. The readers of "Maxim" magazine's internet site have voted her their most beautiful international cover girl. Edyta remains today arguably one of Poland most gifted and beautiful singers.

Wiem, że ma wystąpić Supergrupa, która swoimi występami wzbudza skrajne emocje. Przed dwoma dniami, gdy w Poznaniu zawisły na słupach plakaty z informacją o koncercie, pewien młody mężczyzna rozebrany do połowy, z wytatuowanymi na klacie dużymi literami "SB" rzucił się z mostu do Warty krzycząc "... wypił ja niemnoga elixiru Boga!". Został wyłowiony, przebywa w miejskim szpitalu na oddziale psychiatrycznym, gdzie narazie został poddany detoksykacji. Mam informacje, że czuje się coraz lepiej, nie nudzi się, w wolnych chwilach czyta "Moskwę Pietuszki".
Tak więc sami widzicie, że sobotniego wieczoru może być emocji co niemiara ;)

Justyna Steczkowska will sing LIVE on the Internet! She is the first Polish singer ever to promote her new album “It’s My Time” in such a way.
All the web surfers will be able to watch and enjoy Justyna’s concert on koncert.justynasteczkowska.pl LIVE from Bulwar Filadelfijski in Toruń, Poland. The concert starts at 8.30 p.m. (Polish time zone, GMT +1) on the 20th of June 2009. The broadcast will not be coded. Everyone will be able to watch the show for FREE on the Internet.
Justyna Steczkowska would like to reach all her fans – in Poland and abroad – thanks to such an event. “I want to say ‘thank you’ and express my gratitude for being with me for all these years. For the words of appreciation, for loving my music and for supporting me in my career since the very beginning. The truth is that it is you, my Fans, you all are the very core and the essence of my work” says Justyna.
This event is one of the ways to celebrate Justyna Steczkowska’s 15th anniversary of artistic work and the promotion of her new album (in stores since 20th March). The album entitled “It’s My Time” was recorded in Budapest by the world-famous producer – Victor Rakonczai.
The songs on the album join new sounds with the exceptional voice of Justyna. The charismatic singer seduces the audience and listeners again with her feminine ways and expression of emotions.
