Randy Carpenter
- Guitar
Randy plays guitar and sings lead and harmony
vocals when he's not making automobiles for Toyota. He's responsible
for most of the original Gospel songs the group performs.
You'll see his name by many of the songs on our CDs. From
time to time, we get Randy to fill in on bass so John can play guitar
and sing.
Bob Frederick - Banjo
Bob teaches wildlife biology at Eastern
Kentucky University, plays banjo, and sings harmonies and an occasional
lead. His daughter, Tessa,
played fiddle on our first CD when
she was 9, but at age 17 is more likely to be seen at her
violinium web site! She recently added some fiddle to "Listen to the Word of God" on our I Thank God Everyday CD.
Robert Linville -
Dobro
Robert, plays dobro, is a factory
engineer in Jackson County, umpires softball, teaches karate, sings baritone,
and does most of the talking for the band when we're on stage. He
does some talking for the Gideons too from time to time. Email
Robert if you
want to invite Narrow Road to perform at your event.
James Shoopman - Mandolin
James adjusts insurance claims, plays guitar
and sings lead and harmony vocals with Narrow Road, and has coached
middle school soccer for over 12 years. He's written some lyrics
too. And he's been known to play both guitar and mandolin from time
to time, but not at the same time.
John Utley - Bass
John, a retired chef, plays and sings bass.
He's been inspired to write a song or two that the band now performs.
One is on our newest I Thank God Everyday CD! When he's singing his own songs, John
plays guitar. When he's not playing with the band, he's been
known to play piano, and
quite well we might add.
"Your life can stop any minute, for any reason...but really think about it...ur here today but your gone tommorow. How many times do you say "i love You" to your friends? I'm guessing not much. even if you dont mean it, its always imporant to feel loved, and love. i bet your really confused right about now. but all i really wanted to say is that i simply love you and im glad your my friend. i wish you the best, and i hope you know that i'll always be your friend no matter the distance, and always know that i'm thinking of u. because like i said before, today u can be here but tommorrow you can be gone. im pretty sure your smiling back at the lifeless computer screen. Now its your turn to spread the love, send this to all your friends, as well as ur enemies. trust me you'll make them happy, at least for a minute or two, ur task is to send it to MORE than 15 friends
MyHotComments Thank you for the add.I just wonted to let you know that i am from Berea Ky,to and i still have some family down that way.May God Bless you, your family and your group always.
