Munich’s gospel choir No.1 started out in 1999, founded and led by Anke-Maria Caspari‚ until Charles B. Logan took over in 2003, leading us into new adventurous music-spheres.
Gospels at Heaven is here to bring the soulful life and buoyant music of Gospel directly into your hearts. White men can jump (and sing)! Over 100 successful concerts throughout Europe and commercial and other TV performances humbly speak for themselves.
Counting up to 75 members they sustain their position in Germany’s “Gospel-Hall of Fame”.
Sold out concerts fascinate the audience for 2 hours with songs full of love and devotion.
The repertoire ranges from traditionals like „Joshua Fit The Battle Of Jericho“ and „Down to the River to Pray“ to popular songs like„Oh Happy Day“ or „I will follow Him“ up to pieces of Contemporary Gospel like „There Is Power" or „The Lord Just Keeps On Blessing Me" with hints of Pop like “Angels” or “You’ve got a friend“ with rhythms and moving tunes nobody can deny or even escape.
The vocal power of the soloists is indisputable: the live wire Tom O’Malley with his soulful power voice raises every roof and opera tenor Charles B. Logan tickles everybody’s skin. Kathi Engemann’s angel voice leaves nobody alive untouched and Alexandra Schneider’s raw alto adds erotic to the scene. And where would we be without him: the unique pianist Joerg Florian Mueller makes the magic happen!
Den Münchner Gospelchor Gospels at Heaven gibt es jetzt schon seit 1999 – gegründet von Anke Maria Caspari, steht er seit 2003 unter der Leitung von Charles B. Logan.
Gospels at Heaven will Menschen die lebensfrohe und gefühlvolle Welt der Gospelmusik näher bringen und beweisen, dass auch Weiße "schwarze Musik" machen können.
