   About The Gothic Archies

Watch the live performance of "Smile! No One Cares How You Feel" from Good Day Atlanta

The Gothic Archies, a musical project of Stephin Merritt, the songwriter best known for the band The Magnetic Fields, released a full-length CD featuring the music from A Series of Unfortunate Events audiobooks on October 10, 2006. This was the first time that all the original music from the audiobooks was collected on one CD.

The final CD features 13 songs, which correspond to the 13 books in the series, with two additional bonus tracks inspired by A Series of Unfortunate Events. All music is performed by The Gothic Archies.

“For Crying Out Loud: a reading by Lemony Snicket with music by the Gothic Archies, featuring Lemony Snicket on percussion”.

Dear the Gothic Archies,

I first knew I loved you when I heard the song "Ever Falls the Twilight", and now that I'm in love, I feel alright asking you to put that song on your page. And now we are truly close and cuddly, I don't mind asking you to please go on tour or something--even though I am sure you have little babies and lives elsewhere.

I am truly your most devoted and loving fan, for the most part of all eternity,

Sunday

I am not entirely sure, but I think that this is the part where I leave a short message about my graditude to you for choosing to accept the thought of me being a friend of yours. It would mean very much to me if it could. I'm sorry to say that I am physically not allowed to thank you and be totally honest. Honesty first, friendship second, emotions are dreams.
