a shame when bands have to drive all the way to St.Louis, sell tickets,
and pay to get back home. Its a tough way to go, Just to have a stage
to play on. I know, I know, "survival of the fittest," right? Well,
not everyone wants to be a big rockstar. Some are perfectly happy
having a rocking good time with folks here in our HOME area. Not
everyone wants to join the dog-eat-dog rat-race of surviving to be the
"fittest." Isn't there SOME Way to help music thrive for creative
people in our area? Aside from the costly teeny bopper, elitist venues?
And under those circumstances, is it a TRUE representation of Southern
Illinois music? There are TONS of really fun, really representative
bands here in So IL whom you may rarely ever get to see, but THEY
DEFINE the feelings of living and growing up here. Why do we rarely see
them so often? Well, we DO see them trying to get your attention
online. We DO see them asking for shows. We DON'T see them (first and
