About me: i'm a scotsman, an ex soldier, and a musician, i'm also a computer wizard(almost)and the drummer for Diem and Stand alone, i do still play bass a little listen to Diem's on the floor (jack's)
I prefer to hide behind my drums hitting them like an angry monkey. i've also learnt usefull skills like music recording and production techneques, a little sound engineering, (mostly in studio, i've been doing most of the recording for the new EP Who Knows from Diem but a little live work), theres more but i cant be arsed to type it all in so..........
Who I'd like to meet: anyone but not everyone, people who treat others with a bit of respect and understand that everyone will have their own views on life, and also that some of us will seek differant pleasures in our lives, if your open minded honest and genuine come on in, but people who are nasty and small minded save your self the trouble and fuck off now!!!
also on a musical side i'd love to meet derek roddy, buddy rich, keith moon, mike portnoy, dave weckl, joey jordison, dave grohl (cause he's a damn fine drummer but i reacon he'd be funny as hell to have a few jars with) and tony royster jr.
Ex Sigue Sigue Sputnik drummer and protagonist Ray Mayhew is playing at the 12 Bar Club, London on December 4th 2008. A slightly different format to this show from that which has gone before - think Suicide .. Alan Vega minimalism and you have the drift of it! See you there?
Our 2008 spring tour starts next Friday 1st Feb at the St Davids Hall in CARDIFF.
Our show will feature music from 'Dark Side Of The Moon', 'Wish You Were Here', 'The Wall', 'The Division Bell' plus special performances of the iconic Pink Floyd tracks 'Atom Heart Mother' and 'Echoes'.
