DJ TekNoir started DJing in 2001. The first parties DJ TekNoir was involved in were Amphiskios and Gates of Elyzium. A year after that more parties followed, as well as organizing the first concerts and festivals. In 2003 these activities were all integrated in the newly founded Gothtronic organisation.
In 2003 more parties all over The Netherlands, as well as concerts and the first big annual Gothtronic festival were organised. In 2004 even more parties, concerts and festivals followed.
Early 2005 the final version of the Gothtronic ezine was launched and rapidly became very succesful. In 2005 Gothtronic organised many concerts and started doing concert bookings for third parties as well.
Since 2006 Gothtronic started a management and booking agency and is a fully operative dark music promotion organisation covering many aspects in the promotion of artists and their music.
Since 2007 DJ TekNoir stopped his regular DJ activities and party organising because the e-zine portal, dark music promotion, concerts, booking and management activities had reached a more professional level and started to demand more time. DJ TekNoir is now only available for a DJ set at very special occasions. Gothtronic has become a household name for quality dark music.
Gothtronic has a strong international network, stretching all over the globe and ranging from target audience to artists, management & booking agencies, major and independent labels, distributors etc.
Gothtronic promotes dark music in a wide spectrum, covering various dark underground styles, ranging from dark electronics to indie and dark metal, with as core focus a connection to the wave-electro-goth-industrial scene.
The webzine division of the Gothtronic platform on the internet quickly expanded since it's launch in january 2005, because there was a serious need for a good platform dedicated to the upcoming undercurrent of dark music styles. Promoters, DJs, writers and other music fanatics from all realms and niches of the flourishing alternative dark music scene joined us on this mission.
Gothtronic currently has around 30 contributors. Together they produced 5000+ cd reviews, many live concert reports, artist interviews, articles and movie reviews so far. Gothtronic attracts over 4.000 unique visitors daily from all over the globe.
We feel delighted that our aim and goal to create a serious platform for dark music styles has been achieved and operates like we intended it to. Some people give input, and others get something out of it. From the scene, for the scene is our motto with everything we do. We are a non-profit organization.

Along with the up coming German tour The Exploding Boy is releasing their third single from the critical acclaimed album “Afterglow”.
The single “Heart Of Glass” is released digitally all over the world, incl. iTunes, as a special single-version that varies a bit from the album-version. The song is a little bit more electronic than the previous singles “40 Days” and “London” but still radio friendly, alternative, and most of all, danceable!
The Exploding Boy will start their fourth German tour on the 8:th of December in Nurnberg together with U.S. band The Crüxshadows. The Exploding Boy will also do their first show ever in Zürich, Austria, on the 9:th of December. The tour ends on the 21:st of December in Berlin at K17, also together with The Crüxshadows.
