No Comment :
Brothers Jimmy, Tommy and Tony along with Bassist Larry Butler formed the original "No Comment" back in the mid 80’s. The music and the lineup changed and evolved over time but the DiLorenzo Brothers remained a constant core unit playing a mix of funk, rock and blues.
We had great fun playing though out Delaware and into Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. We even played a USO tour.
This page is for our fans, great friends and all of the members of "No Comment" to remember some great times we all shared.
Please leave comments on some of your favorite memories!
There's also information & links here as to what I am currently up to.
Thanks to everyone!
No Comment’s hometown area and main stomping ground was the Wilmington and New Castle, Delaware area where we drew huge crowds in clubs like Prime Times, The Four and One, Soft Rock Café, Delle Donns, Barn Door and Union Station to name a few. We enjoyed a devoted following of loyal fans and friends who helped make every gig much more than a show. They were parties and events. Everyone always had blast as we ripped through covers of Aerosmith, James Brown, Thin Lizzy, Allman Brothers, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Queen, Living Colour, Rush, INXS and so many more. We had some pretty cool original tunes peppered in as well such as “Angel On The Wing”, “The Booty Bandits”, “Oja”, “Feel Free” and “No Comment”. We borrowed quite a bit and came up with a big crowd favorite called “She’s Mines”.
"No Comment" eventually disbanded in the early 90’s at the top of our game. We would reunite a few times here and there over the years for various events.
Most of all this page is to honor the memory of my Brothers Tommy and Tony who passed away way before their times.
My Music today draws heavily from my brother Tony who, besides having a heart of gold, was also a dynamic singer, guitarist and performer. Tony kept his ears and eyes open and soaked everything in to create his own unforgettable style. His command of the stage, his instrument and of his audience was truly amazing. Tommy’s and I collaborated on the inspirational song Welcome Home and dedicated it to Tony.
I am so glad Tommy and I got a chance to collaborate in 2005 with sound engineer, bassist and keyboard player Marc Moss at Target Studios and lay down a few tracks. It reminded me of how great a drummer and percussionist Tommy was. He used to do a drum solo that would just drop your jaw. It’s tough because with any group that I play with now the drummer is compared in my mind to Tommy D and frankly no one has matched his fire and feel for getting the groove to slide effortlessly right into the pocket. Tommy could always lay down a hot and funky groove. He could bring a song to life that’s for sure. He was second to no one.
I just hope that I can somehow come close to keeping up the quality, intensity and pure love of the music that Tommy and Tony always possessed.
I’m currently in the process of recording for various projects so keep your ears open and stay tuned and I’ll keep you posted.
