Grace Godless is a Japanese-influenced industrial band based in New York. They hope to put a dark, metal edge to the synthpop genre to create something unique. Currently the band is composed of the duo of vocalist/lyricist Hari and composer/musician Aki. Hari can sing in both English and Japanese and prefers to use "metal screams" over melodic vocals. Aki is the current guitarist of the Japanese-inspired band Not Dead Yet and is lending composing skills to this outfit.
As of now, Grace Godless is currently looking for musicians to work with and record with. The agenda can be referenced to for further current activities.
What is Grace Godless? I was inspired by the song "Amazing Grace". Beautiful song, BUT I didn't feel it had to be about a religious experience, hence the 'godless' tacked at the end. I defined one's 'amazing grace' as a life-changing experience of any kind, and that everyone's objective in life at some point was to look for it in order to progress on a mental scale. I have no clue what my grace will be, but even if I find it, I'll still be inspired by the continual search in the eyes of others.
