"I sing the blues..." Grace says, and we sure believe her when we hear the way she sings, evoking the great voices of her style. Blues yes, but without bitter self pity or slack... If one had to sum up the message in her songs, it would be a prayer of hope, tolerance and brotherhood. Nothing frivolous or shallow about her, this american girl born to musician parents was raised all over America, Africa, India and Europe. Along the way of her journeys across the globe, Grace took it all in, living and learning, from Senegalese Griots to Indian Sufis. Spiritual daughter of Tina Turner and Bob Marley, her music swings between folk, reggae, blues and soul, with sincerity and emotion that is moving to the core. Her first album, "Hall of mirrors", is a declaration of love, an exchange "all that I've learned on my life path, I now try to give it back as best I can" she says again. "Belle facon" - a beautiful way about her. Amazing Grace...

C'est Grace qui l'affirme, et on la croit volontiers, tant sa voix évoque les plus grandes vocalistes du style. Blues, d'accord, mais sans bourdon ni cafard. S'il fallait dénicher un message dans les chansons de Grace, ce serait plutôt une prière d'espoir, de tolérance et de fraternité. Rien de baba ou de hippie, pourtant, chez cette américaine née de parents musiciens, élevée entre Canada, Afrique, Inde et Europe. Au cours de ses pérégrinations à travers la planète, Grace a beaucoup observé, beaucoup appris, que ce soit auprès des griots sénégalais ou des soufis indiens. Fille spirituelle de Tina Turner et de Bob Marley, sa musique oscille entre folk, reggae, blues et soul, avec une sincérité et une émotion qui frappent d'emblée.
