God, my beautiful family, my awesome friends and my cool dog. Otherwise, I like music, reading, chocolate and good discussions with mates, bush walks, road trips, mountains, the beach, horse-riding, movies etc.... And if you haven't read my blogs (be afraid)... I like to attempt to think theologically and even allegedly poetically at times. And lately, I've even blogged about my views on relationships. A scary twist?
Music
In no particular order... Switchfoot, Soulframe, U2, Reliant K, Scat, Bon Jovi (don't tell!), Jimmy Needham, DC Talk, Sonic Flood, Kutless, Dave Crowder Band*, Justin Michael/Compliments of Gus, Chris Poulsen Trio, Barlow Girl, Sons of Korah, Maverick,Jason Morant, Stu Larsen, Day of Fire, Shawn McDonald, Jars of Clay, Crowded House, Marc Scholtez, Third Day, Foo Fighters, News boys, old Sting songs, Jeff Buckley.... pretty eclectic, I like lots of stuff.. mostly any rock and I like Jazz too. :)
Generally limited to those which are either insightful, inspiring or funny. Monty Python (all three, no? hehe). I loathe horror flicks. And most chick-flicks too. :)
I mostly don't watch it at all.. but there are a few good shows out there - which thankfully my friends or family have introduced me to (see list below). I also like the odd random doco on history or nature.
Chasers War on Everything, Thank God (goodness) You're Here, Kath and Kim, Black Books... The Goodies (come on ABC, we want re-runs!)
Books
The Bible :)
Other favourite books:
What's so Amazing about Grace (Phillip Yancey), The Cronicles of Narnia (especially the Last Battle, by C.S Lewis), Mere Christianity by CS Lewis, The Holiness of God by RC Sproul, The Pursuit of God by AW Tozer, The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning, Knowing God by J I Packer, The Grace Truth Paradox by Randy Alcorn, The Lineage of Grace by Francine Rivers, Miracle on the River Quay by Some Guy Whose Name I Forget, Blue like Jazz by Don Miller, Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne..
Secular Fiction:

I've also added a couple of my favourite books from childhood.. Ronia the Robber's Daughter and King of the Wind...though I could have gone on and on there. I possibly read every horse or pony story ever written...!! :)
About me: Hello! :) My name is Lisa. ~insert waving motion here~
'You shattered, You blazed, You took away my blindness, You shed Your fragrance, I drew my breath and my soul it pants for You.' Augustine of Hippo
'He was created of a mother whom He created. He was carried by hands that He formed. He cried in the manger in wordless infancy, He the Word, without whom all human eloquence is mute.' Augustine
Man, that Augustine guy had some sweet quotes... :) I do like others though..
Who I'd like to meet: People who ask questions of themselves and the world around them. Those who don't stop asking questions.
Those who have not lost a sense of wonder about the world and things.
Those who have decided that it takes more strength to care, than not to. Those who challenge the status quo...
.. and anyone with a story to tell :) which is mostly everyone I guess...
So talk to me already :)
I'm having a real yearning for the Holy Sprite . I feel as though Jesus wants to pour down extra blessing on all his children. If you feel the same I ask that you agree in pray with me.
Heavenly Father I praise you!!!! Holy Spirit I ask that wash away all that is me, until there is nothing left but Jesus . For I would rather be a beggar at your feet the then a false King reigning on a throne I created myself. Jesus I pray for abundant wisdom as I submit myself complete to your Holy Present!!!
Hi Lisa! It's nice meeting you. Thank you for accepting & show of support. .. I hope life is going just right! May all your dreams & aspirations flourish. Come by again! ~Best wishes~ J.Dan
