About Me
G.R.A.F.I.C was born Jermaine Sanders in Elkhart Indiana.
He was raised in a single perant home within a church going family but after some childhood "church hurt" he only went to church for weddings, funerals and when his mother made him go. Jermaine excelled in sports during his scholastic years and earned the nickname "Sandman" for the way he knocked
cats out on the football field. He began rappin in 1987 but only for fun freestyling now and then with friends and an occasional battle for fun.
In 1994 after dropping out of college, his dream of playing proffessional football disolved when he fell victim to peer pressure and began smoking and drinking, always ambitious his mic skills resurfaced and the "Sandman" was born. After a brief link with a local group called the Heartless Hustlers, Sandman moved out to Virginia for a year and honed his business savy while soaking up the "East Coast Vibe". He returned and hit Elkhart hard with an undergroud hit called "Fact or Fiction". His label Midwest Mayhem dropped two
colabo albums between 1998 and 2000. After a year of working on his solo album Jermaine came to the realization that all secular music(including his) was poison to the human soul and that after the deaths of Pac and Biggie he knew that he would one day have to answer (to God) for the musical message and lifestyle that he was projecting. Not content with going to hell over sex, money, weed, and battle rap he felt the calling of Jesus on his life. Desperatly wanting to be saved all his life he gave his life to Christ but refused to be a typical Christian. After shedding the name Sandman, he took a year off of rapping to draw near to God. God renamed him G.R.A.F.I.C the PrayWalker wich means Gods Redilly Active Follower Inspiring Christians praying for his people daily. He joined forces with the L.O.S.S.T Factor and made his Holy Hip Hop debut on 10/20 the B-Boy Apostle's album the Reformation. In May of 2005 he started his own record company called Ol' Rugged records and now spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ as far as he possibly can. He has also become the assistant minister at his home church St.James A.M.E in Elkhart. He has now been called to the ministry full time and started the Ol' Rugged Fellowship Church where he is founder and pastor. It is truly an honor pleasure to serve God and live life through Jesus Christ!.
