The music on this page was made using a combination of guitars and pc software.
Grumbleweed uses an Ibanez SV5470 in blue, an Ibanez JS100 in red, a Westfield bass and a Takamine EG540C electro acoustic.
A Line 6 UX1 sucks up the signal from these guitars and dumps it into either Record or Sonar 8.3.1.
Reason 4 is used to add other instruments - either synths or samples.
I mentioned before that I like your new tune as well, but, last time I checked, I'm not usre if Mutants Ate My Gravy was up or not. I could be wrong, my brain is like a seive.
Well, I think Mutants Ate My Gravy is my favourite. The ambient intro before the drums kick in properly is really good :)
Thanks alot for your comment! i think i may be moving more toward a consistent theme or melody type style in the future... i just enjoy improvising, but it can be hard to catch on to a tune if it never repeats phrases, etc.
thanks, and btw, my life is absolutely wonderful these days. nothing to complain about.
hullo, Mr. Grum... well, unfortunately for me, i have a short attention span and too little patience. i can only manage to listen to one or two tracks at a time when i visit an indie artist's music page. this visit, i chose Voices In My Head. i enjoyed the tinkly piano melody, although it would have been cool if you explored some notes down in a lower register. the high pitches got a bit rough on the ears for a while, but it's no biggy. i learned alot from this one track.
our mutual friend Particle Junkie (i came across both a ya on the Propellerheads forums) gave me some criticism on my own tracks - what i concluded was that my synth leads are a bit too hot in the mix, sometimes i choose sounds that are a bit too harsh and/or brash, and generally speaking, i wank off bit too much. from Voices In My Head, i learned that in future compositions, i should leave more space, play less random melody, tone down my mix a bit, and add more atmosphere. thanks for the inspiration!
i would love to hear your honest opinion on a track or two of my own. i desperately need feedback from other talented musicians.
Ez, come check out the new Mindstorm tune "Off The Radar" recently added to the player. This track along with 15 more original bangers will be featured on Mindstorm's second album The Invasion set for release this summer. Feedback is always welcome and always appreciated. =) Cheers!
Hey, hope all is well! Check out Mindstorm's newest Drum&Bass tune "Fight Music" recently added to the player. This track features a heavy dancefloor oriented sound with a bit of a Chase and Status style thrown into it. Hope you enjoy!
Aye, I like my guitar stuff as well as ambient and chill out stuff.
I'll need to get my mits on a program like Cubase or Pro Tools then I can try adding guitars to my stuff properly. I have Guitar Tracks Pro but not fussy about it at all. Come to think of it, I need a lot of new stuff, including PC lol.
My name's Chenko on there but I only have two posts. I normally just nosey around without actually posting anything. When all the other forum members are sitting around the table yapping, I'm hiding in the cupboard behind trying not to sneeze lol :)
