I play Irish music on the fiddle. Séamus Connolly was kind enough to teach me the tricks of the trade over the course of several years when I was a kid. His techniques on how to use the fiddle in self-defense have proven most valuable. Perhaps my greatest pride is a song composed in my honor by the quite imitable John Casey, purveyor of the Lower East Side's finest rubber stamps and insults. The song is titled, "You're Disthgusting, Gráinne Murphy, You're Disthgusting" and features lyrics of the same.
