NEWSFLASH: NOV 20, 2009: I'm about to embark on a mini tour of sorts, starting on November 24th at Riley's in Peterborough (with my friend Josh Gontier). Check out my calendar of gig dates for more details :)
I WON FOLK ARTIST OF THE YEAR at THE 2009 DURHAM REGION MUSIC AWARDS!! ... I was nominated for 3 awards: Female Vocalist Of The Year, Recording Of The Year and Folk Artist Of The Year!! .... Gosh, I'm pretty proud of these nominations, I was up against some tough competition, so I was honered to take an award home with me last night :)
NEW BLOG: CROW LOVERS!! If you are as interested in these fascinating birds as I am, be sure to read my new blog called "Crow Lover's Blog" .. I will be adding new insights and information regularly & would love to hear from anyone and everyone who loves crows as much as I do :)
John Lennon was a HUGE influence on me when I was growing up. So here is a video of me singing "IMAGINE", one of my favourite John Lennon songs of all time:
I firmly believe in performing cover songs. Without covers songs, I wouldn't be the musician and songwriter that I am today.
This video is of MY BAND and I (with a couple of Special Guests; Ali From DAME and James Harlow on guitars) performing Neil Young's HELPESS @ HARLOW'S in Uxbridge Ontario on Sat April 25, 2009.
I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
You're welcome! And thanks! Next time you visit, give us a shout. Maybe we could arrange a gig somewhere. We're all the way up north in the Netherlands. Take care!

Grainne- We don't have crows hereabouts but we have ravens. The Natives say an appearance of a raven is an omen -- good or bad depending on the when and where. Keep on doing your part to make Ontario beautiful. Come see us in Alaska sometime.
Thank you GRAINNE and best wishes. Check our Blogs for latest arts in education news and classroom activities.
Hope you will participate in our celebration of learning and leave a comment/advice for students.
Peace, John
“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music. ... I get most joy in life out of music.”
Glad you liked the tunes Grainne. I love what you're doing too.
I'm jealous as hell that you have Moe producing. He's been very supportive of a couple of bands I've been involved in and played us fairly regularly at The Tap over the last couple of years. As a HUGE TPOH fan, Moe enjoying my tunes was one of the greatest compliments I have ever received.
Also, if there wasn't a big feck-off ocean separating us, I would have offered my pedal steel services.
Keen to hear your album once it's done. We're buried in the studio recording our album too at the moment with a deadline for launch at the end of May. Lots to get done. Busy busy.
