Almost five years has passed since the debut album Intervening Coma-Celebration saw the light of day. Finally we are able to see something on the horizon. Grand Alchemist is preparing for a new album and the working-title is set to be entitled "Disgusting Hedonism". This is powerful, atmospheric and symphonic metal, but this time around the
contrasts are sharper, the guitar wall is more striking and more room
has been made for aggression. Of course, this will still not smother the fire and atmosphere from the keyboards, but the new songs will be rougher and more dynamic than the debut.
Grand Alchemist is comprised of Sigurd, John, Roland, Terje og Ole. Sigurd
started the band with drummer Stoelan in 1995, under the name of Morrheim.
In 1998 Morrheim had progressed enough to be pronounced Grand Alchemist,
and in 2001 Terje (guitar) and Roland (bass) joined. Stoelan left the band early 2006.
