Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Underworld, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Boozoo Bajou, Caribou, Meat Beat Manifesto, Peter Gabriel, One Dove, The Verve, Strategy, The Raconteurs, any Power Ballad, Tom Middleton, Jimi Hendrix and all other great live bands of the 60's, many, many more...
This is a remix I did of Peter Gabriel's classic 80's track
"Shock The Monkey" for a
Real World Remixed competition. It lost. Forgive the low bitrate on it.
I was limited by file size restrictions.

Grandbrother is me, Sean. In recent years my focus has been on remixes, although work has now begun on new, original Grandbrother tracks in collaboration with a variety of vocalists. Check back here for updates and to hear new tracks as they're completed.

Now Playing
The first track in the music player is a new, original work in progress. I've only spent a few hours on it, so it has a long way to go. But I thought it might be fun to share an unfinished, new bit of music for a change.
Next is a mix I recently completed of the track "Deep" from Lou Rhode's first album, Beloved One. It's originally a short acapella track, so I just snagged the vocals and set them to some new Grandbrother music to create the dub track you're hearing now. Definitely one that needs to be heard with headphones for full effect.
Third is a remix I did for R.O.C. called "I Want You I Need You I Miss You (The Grandbrother Version)". The original version of the song first came out in 1996, and immediately became one of my all time favorites. I recently exchanged a few emails with Patrick Nicholson, one of the three members of R.O.C., and he invited me to do a remix of one of their songs. I chose my favorite song of theirs, he sent me the parts, and I made my mix. Big thanks to R.O.C. for allowing me the chance to remix their work, allowing me to make the mix available here, and for linking to here on their website.
The fourth track is a remix I did for Julie Dennis called "Fever (The Grandbrother Remix)". This is Julie's gorgeous cover of the classic Peggy Lee track, and the single is already getting rave reviews from the DJ's. It's available now through itunes and some other online stores, and will be available more widely and in more formats in the coming weeks.
Next is another remix for Julie Dennis called "Cut To The Chase (The Ascension Remix)". It's available through itunes , and in all good online music stores. You can find more details about the release on Discogs.com. The version that's here in the Grandbrother music player is the full length, unmastered version of the mix, so you won't hear it like this anywhere else. And of course, thank you to Julie for giving me my first breaks in the music industry.
Next up is the original Grandbrother track, "Midnight Dub", done for an online compilation called "Dreamgirl, I'm Desperate For You". The track features vocals contributed by Janie H., and is available for free download through the link above.
Hope you enjoy the music...and as always, headphones are highly recommended when listening to these tracks!
