Welcome aboard the GRAND GUIGNOL DIABOLIQUE!!!
This project originated around 2004/2005 from the ashes of another cult band, the BEAT BABOL. All the songs featured in this brand new album are the previously unreleased DEMOS the band used to rehearsal for the upcoming gigs. Around June 2008 the original writer uncovered the original masters and managed to complete them all, caring to keep the "original sound" and atmospheres. These 10 tracks sounds exactly breathtaking as they were then. The lyrics are very actual as well, because put the human being right in the center of his own little universe, facing his enormous problems and contradictions. Apparently 100% negative, GRAND GUIGNOL DIABOLIQUE is instead 99% optimistic, because fools all this human craziness, jokes about it, with great "dramatic" humour. The recordings are rough, the feelings not. That's why we love so much this new project by Pedale Baroque. And now, let's the music starts: voilà le GRAND GUIGNOL DIABOLIQUE!

Questo progetto ha origine approssimativamente tra il 2004 e il 2005 dalle ceneri di un altra band di culto, i BEAT BABOL. Tutte le canzoni di questo album sono gli inediti DEMOS che servivano alla band per preparare i concerti live. Nel Giugno del 2008 il compositore originale riprese a mano i masters originali per completarli tutti, cercando però sempre di mantenere intatto il "sound originale" e le atmosfere. Queste 10 canzoni tolgono il respiro ora come allora. Anche i testi sono incredibilmente attuali, in quanto mettono l'essere umano nel bel mezzo del suo piccolo/grande universo, faccia a faccia coi suoi enormi problemi e contraddizioni amplificate. Apparentemente 100% pessimista è invece 99% ottimista in quanto scherza con tutto questo pazzo circo umano, si prende gioco di lui, con grande umorismo "drammatico". Le registrazioni sono grezze, le vibrazioni, le sensazioni no. Ecco perchè amiamo così tanto questo nuovo progetto targato Pedale Baroque. E ora che la musica cominci, entri il GRAND GUIGNOL DIABOLIQUE!
