Alfonso Gradi e Joseph Mancini, due artisti nati prima della grande guerra in luoghi differenti e a loro medesimi ignoti, sono ben poco conosciuti nelle loro patrie e altrove, soprattutto perché non hanno mai dipinto, suonato, scritto, realizzato film o documentari; infatti non hanno mai operato una qualche forma d’arte.
Sostennero che l’artista deve essere indipendentemente da quello che fa e deve cercare di vendere la propria opera al di là delle intrinseche vendibilità e, soprattutto, esistenza.
Seppero bene che l’ artista non può essere un grande artista se non lascia aperto il varco espressivo alla parte sublime e subliminale del proprio cervello, quella incomprensibile ai più e, il più delle volte, incomprensibile pure all’artista stesso. Manifestando, senza limiti o censure pregresse, la loro cognizione dello spazio esaustivo intuirono, alla moda dei nativi americani, il soggetto insano di mente (pazzoide o pazzo, si potrebbe dire ora) come toccato dalla divinità, più che come rejetto da circoscrivere intro muri. E vi si adeguarono, sbagliando.
Poiché il loro errore era seguito da loro stessi e non libero di affrontare vaghezze intrinseche presenti nell’andamento sinusoidale delle circonvoluzioni cerebrali, Gradi e Mancini hanno limitato la loro opera, divenendo maestri di quell’ eliminare alla presenza che fu approfondito successivamente da C. Bene e J. Nash.
La loro opera è stata per noi esistenziale nello sviluppo delle capacità e volontà, cosicché abbiamo deciso di usare i loro cognomi per definire la nostra espressione artistica, anzitutto basata sulla non-razionalità, cioè sull’ espressione a-controllata dall’artista, e quindi sulla non-operatività dell’artista, ovvero sulla decisione, dell’artista, di non eseguire opere d’arte.
Naturalmente, ognuno di noi, nel proprio piccolo, fa quel che vuole..
