Seeing my book published. Teaching others through example. I have made my fair share of stupid mistakes. I would love to see others glean wisdom from the history I've lived, so that they can see there is hope for redemption. Grace is abundant and free to us because the price has already been paid. All we have to do is accept the free gift.
A thought: Live today as you will wish you had lived when you stand before God. Be wise - Do Right!
"So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12
Music
Christian music is at the top of the chart (K-love is awesome!!) I have been blessed with music in my life. My mom taught me to play the piano when I was 4. It has been a solace to me many times. It is where I find I can really "talk" to God and often "hear" Him speak to me as I play. Amazing!
I am also privileged to be a part of the worship team at church. It has made me much more aware of how powerful a medium music is, and has helped me to walk the path that brings glory to God. If I'm not walking with Him, I have no business being part of the praise team.
Movies
"A night with the king" The story of Esther. Anohter good one if you have ever been hurt by someone, or victimized by a crime, you might find the movie "At the end of the Spear" helpful. This stunning film, based on a true story, will forever change you. It is a compelling look at how God's grace affects peoples lives. Even though many in the film had family members who had been brutally murdered, they found God's grace is greater than hatred.
In addition, rent the documentory "Beyond the Gates of Splendor" which is actual fooctage and interviews with Steve Saint, Elizabeth Elliot and others who are depicted in the movie "At the end of the Spear". Their lives were forever changed because of their time spent working with the Woadani tribe in Ecuador.
I highly recommend both!
Television
I always love Hallmark Movies. They pull at the heart strings. For a good mystery, any of the CSI's, and for thought provoking TV Law and Order.
Books
"The B-I-B-L-E, that's the book for me. I stand upon the word of God, the B-I-B-L-E". I also love Kaye Arthur's book "Lord, I want to know You" which explains each of God's names. Then C.S. Lewis's books: The Narnia series, Screwtape letters, The Great Divorce. Jeff Van Vondren's "Tired of Trying to Measure up" is good for those who want to learn how to live in the freedom of God's grace.
Others (sorry, can't remember the authors) The Left Behind series, and Steadfast. Great books that'll make you THINK!!
Heroes
The hero of all heros to me is Jesus Christ! He didn't have to do what He did for you and me. Next..my husband and children, their spouses and the grandkids. My dad and grandparents and others (who have gone before), my mom, sisters and brothers. My friends and those wonderful people who share the gospel with the unsaved. Especially those who are on foreign soil and have to be "under cover" so they don't get killed.
I've been happily married to the love of my life for 32 years. God knew exactly what He was doing when He brought Dale and I together.
I am delighted to be his wife and mother to our children (3 biological and 1 by "adoption"), their spouses and those wonderful grandchildren.
My main goal in life is to share the love of the Lord Jesus Christ with everyone I can. I have been blessed exceedingly, abundantly in my life because of all God has done, and I simply want to help others know what a difference a relationship with Jesus Christ can make to their lives.

Hi!! Thanks for the picture comment. Yes, that does indeed look like the place to hang out on a Monday night. I miss you guys!! I went to a Bible study this past Tuesday with my room mate, so I knew her and the girl who led worship so that was good. It was fun, there are about as many people there as are at your house on Mondays. I love you!
