Influences
My really early influences included M.C. Hammer, Bell Biv Devoe, Boyz 2 Men, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Starter Jackets, Snow, Vanilla Ice, Naughty by Nature, C and C Music Factory, New Kids on the Block, Kids Incorporated, LL Cool J, and Poison. I hit the age of reason after the late 80's and early 90's and realized I was not as urban as I had thought. Luckily my influences have changed since then... except for the Starter jackets. I still find them to be both stylish and affordable.
In July of 1981 the birth of Chris Black was overlooked by many when it came to matters of historical signifigance. Chris has been quoted as saying that he "doesn't mind that the history books made a mistake". It is now 2008 and almost a dozen people think Chris's songs are listenable. Chris's mother Rita was quoted by his father Dave as saying "I mean he's no Whitney Houston, but then again who is?" Dave Black went on record to say he's thinks "Chris is a good dancer and needs to dance with the girls more when he goes out on the town". Look out future historians, Chris Black is one piece of white bread you are going to want to keep an eye on.
hey man, i got your message. thanks for snagging that, but i don't think it's for me. going to apply with some temp agencies, and keep looking around town, but i'm not going to stress out about it and just accept anything...yet...
Yeah, I'll be hosting Wednesday nights there. We get started around 10pm and I'd LOVE to have you out. Several of our regular performers have relocated or don't have any new material to share, so we always need new performers. Hope to see you out this week! :)
Hey its Sem. Thought I would see how you are. Our myspace is not broken anymore :) The last few days have been a nightmare. Just wanted to let you know if you didn't get my last message that we have a new single coming out next Spring, and if you haven't seen yet we have a new website. www.bensem.com If you become a member you will be one of the first to know the release date. The only reason I mention is that it takes me about 6 months to try and tell everyone on myspace lol. You up to much this weekend? Speak to you soon
