many and far stretching as country afternoons. bowls of colourful fruit. free sundays. the basic truth that beauty exists everywhere and that every man, woman, child, and animal should have the opportunity to experience it.
Sounds Like
***what it would feel like if it was like the beginning of September all year round. Imagine being able to wear a sweater, or not, whenever. Imagine riding a bicycle to work without getting too hot. Imagine being able to sit outside all day, but having to come in because it got too chilly.***what it would feel like to watch your lava lamp while on a train: with the clickity-clackity lulling you with smooth smothering gloopy-glops of gloop.***playing basketball in october, having to wear gloves.***piles of leaves.***watching return of the jedi with your friends.***
Formed over the course of a few years, Grand River Orchestra plays pretty wintery folk music. Ian & Jerry recorded and released IN THE THIRD WINTER OF THE NEW CENTURY in 2003. The EP was recorded and produced by Brennan Galley, formerly of the Brautgans. Neil & Chad joined. They were the dream choices, the self-fulfilling prophecy of Ian & Jerry's idea of a perfect band for them. Hallelujah. In 2008, the band welcomed Jason Maile from The Atomic Drops, and new magic was born.
pssssssst. (hey people) how's it goin? ssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! (looking each way incase someone's listening) wanted to whisper you something. Grand River Orchestra has a show at cafe 13 (second floor)on the 15th of march, it's a saturday. ......but please.......keep it down. Don't tell anyone. shhhhhh.
i have seen two shows with the complete 4 piece band and both shows were awesome, the song writting was strong and creative, the bass was perfect, and three vocals add another intresting dynamic to the band. Chad on drums is perfect. I wanna hear more a album or a show? .
Hey....i'm the only one leaving you messages!!!
I'm in Nipigon right now...over the biggest hills and finally done with all of that craziness. Just blew a tire 10 kms before here on my trailor....just got some nice new hotrod tires and tubes for the little trailor i've grown to call R2...as it pushes me along qhite a bit..it sure sounds nice that you've been taking advantage of that fire bylaw...in the company of family/friends.......i wish i was in Cambridge for many reasons...but atleast after this....i can focus 100% and work my little ass off. I almost came home 2 days ago...i was getting depressed a bit because of what loneliness riding your bike all day can do to you.. I won't be working for JIm anymore down at the music store. I will do home lessons and try to get a job at Long and McQuades so we can go for coffee breaks once in awhile. I miss you guys and i feel your energy and hum your songs out here in the loneliness.
I wanted to leave you a really long message this time...so you'd get a feeling that i still loved you. :O)
Say hi to Jerry, Faye, yer Dad......and Katie for me please...and any of the other hotdogs i know and love. particularly Jenny...Jay.....and Kit.
You can have this secret...as long as you intend to keep it.
good tune.
Miss you Ian.
yeah........don't know if you know.........but i have an ulner nerve damage situation where my left hand is rendered half useless. I am stuck in a beautiful place in the hands of god at colpoy's bay in Wiarton. I'm thinking of you guys and want o wish you a great summer........say hi to Sarah Harmer for me at Hillside if you's go. I should be in the Manitoulin Islands by Wednesday. Take care........as i am nursing my arm and hand. I cannot play guitar either....but spreading this city hall message across Canada is motivating me on. Take Care and i hope you play lots of shows without me......as the Grand River Orchestra is at it's strongest with simplicity of the roots.
Love you's
