GRANDVIEW is a rock band out of San Diego, CA. Formed in January 2004, we mix a rock sound with heavier breakdowns and more technical progressions. In the year following our formation we played numerous local shows, opened for a couple of national acts, and started making a name for ourselves in San Diego. We were fortunate to have one of our early songs, "Better Off", chosen by Drive-Thru Records to be featured on their compilation disc. However, in August 2005, our music came to a screeching halt when our drummer, Craig Winger, fell and fractured his skull while skateboarding. He was in critical condition, but made a full recovery. His accident inspired us to write about more mature subjects and to expand our range of musical styles. We are back on track and just opened for Strung Out, and Death By Stereo on the San Diego leg of their nationwide tour. Thanks go out to our fans for all of their support and we are pushing harder than ever to make Grandview the next great rock band to come out of Southern California! -
