Interests

  • General

More than anything I love spending time with my wife and beautiful little daughters. I run around the house with the girls acting crazy and mommy just rolls her eyes at us. That's always great fun! When I'm not with them, I love reading, golfing, and sleeping. Sleeping in my own bed is always preferable since I spend a lot of nights in hotel beds...not nearly as comfortable as my own!
  • Music

I'm pretty boring...I listen to a lot of talkradio. The Dave Ramsey Show, ESPN Radio...does that mean I'm getting old? If I am listening to music, I like Hillsong United, David Crowder Band, John Mayer, Coldplay, Daughtry, Linkin Park, U2...
  • Movies

Anything action, suspense, or comedy...big fan of action movies like Oceans 11, 12, or 13, Italian Job, Inside Man. For comedies, of course there are the classics...Tommy Boy, Dumb & Dumber...amazing movies like that!
  • Television

I'll just say this...DVR has changed my life! If you have a DVR, you'll agree...if you don't, you probably think I'm crazy. DVR eliminates the need to watch commercials, you can watch replays of sports, you can record countless shows...it's awesome! That being said I watch some sports and a few reality shows here and there. Here are a couple of items set to record in my DVR: - Amazing Race - SportsCenter (everyday!) - The Office (classic show) - The Big Idea - Larry King Live (occasionally has some great interviews) - Comedy Central Stand Up When they're on, I love 24 and Prison Break as well...
  • Books

I read a lot of a variety of stuff...some of what I read is based on what I'm working on at the time. If I'm thinking through some marketing ideas, I'll go pick up some marketing books and browse through them. You get the idea... Any type of business bestseller I'm interested in...it became a bestseller for some reason so hopefully it's because the content is good! I've also started reading an occasional fiction book...Vince Flynn has some great books that are similar to the TV series, "24" (another great show by the way!)
  • Heroes

    My wife, my parents...the usuals

About me:

Thanks for stopping by my Facebook page to check it out. My name is Grant and I work to make a difference in the lives of students. I'm a youth speaker and also author of the book, "Reality Check." I've got a pretty cool gig...I travel around speaking primarily to students at conferences, school assemblies, assemblies, and other youth events. When I'm not traveling around, I love being home with my smokin' hot wife and my beautiful and energetic little daughters. They have both got to be three of the coolest people on the planet. And they all get to put up with me... For more information about me and what I do, check out my website at www.GrantBaldwin.com or visit www.BrokePiggy.com where I answer students' questions about money.

Who I'd like to meet:

Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Albert Pujols, Billy Graham, Dave Ramsey, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Cuban, Oprah (yeah, that's right...I said Oprah...don't judge me) Just about any significant sports figure or business leader I'd be more than happy to have coffee with.

    GRANT!
    You were hilarious! =)
From someone (cough ME cough) who sees (&mostly hears ;]) keynote speakers, you've been one of the best. No joke.

I talked to the other keynote speaker as well, Chris Bowers who is seriously a hero, and told him about my interest in being a motivational speaker and I just thought I'd throw that out to you in case you had any advice? haha. *I'm so pushy. But it's ok.

    You seriously were great. =)
