Former leader of nervous germans and a million seller in his own right at the end of the 20th century, Grant Stevens is now at home in Berlin.
With a Bo Diddley groove that's a mile deep and a chorus that takes off into overdrive Longhair Music is a barnstormer of epic proportions.
In 1996 Grant Stevens recorded and wrote the lyrics to the hit “Everlasting Friends” which was used as a TV jingle for Holsten Pilsener in Europe and has sold over a million copies. In 2000 the unheilig album Phosphor was released containing the underground classic "Sage Ja!", all songs being co-written by Der Graf and Grant. He has since written the lyrics to 2 successful musicals; “Die Schöne und das Biest” and “Robin Hood” and contributed a song to the German ARD production “Eine einzige Tablette” which won the Goldene Kamera 2008, ver,di Media prize 2008 und a Bambi prize 2007.
Advertising jingles for among others, Rover 2000, C & A, Yellow Pages, DAB Pils and all types of household goods from toothpaste to WC ducks have also played a part in Grant Stevens' varied repertoire.
Some of the artists Stevens has worked with either as singer, producer or lyricist:
The Window Speaks, unheilig, Peter Hofmann, Jennifer Rush, Christopher Cross, Percy Sledge, Jürgen Marcus, Rhythm Corporation (Wild for you, C&A TV and cinema Spot), Noble Creed, Triumvirat, Depp Jones, Bilgeri, Michelle, Barry Ryan, Dan McCafferty, Chris Norman, Sash!, Johnny Logan, Bela B, Far Corporation, Gerd Köster, T.V. Smith, Peter Fleischmann (Es ist nicht leicht ein Gott zu sein, film title song „Hard to a god“), Obsession (lyrics to Soundtrack for the Peter Sehr film starring Heike Makatsch and Daniel Craig), Solo Album on CBS (1989), and the "Grant Stevens“ Solo Album (1999, on EMI).
The track "Longhair Music" is included on the compilation EAR TO THE GROUND: BERLIN.

For the most recent installment of Limewire's exclusive EAR TO THE GROUND series of compilation albums, they have teamed up with some of their favorite independent and up-and-coming artists in the beautiful city of Berlin. EAR TO THE GROUND: BERLIN features nine tracks spanning a wildly diverse set of genres, highlighting the eclecticism that has been the calling card of Berlin's vibrant urban culture since the end of the Cold War. Most of these Berlin-based artists aren't even native to the city, or even to Germany for that matter. But the fact that the cast of musicians have come from far and wide to settle in the German capital serves as further evidence of Berlin's importance as a haven for creativity and a true cosmopolitan hub.
