Born Edinburgh, Scotland '62. Moved to England '67. Played Recorder at 4, Trumpet at 6 and then Guitar at 11. Attended Royal Northern of Music '80-'84. Joined Rare Ltd 1995, created Music and SFX for GoldenEye, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, Perfect Dark, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Viva Pinata, Viva Pinata:Trouble in Paradise and Banjo-Kazooie:Nuts and Bolts. Now at Big Huge Games in sunny Baltimore and loving it!! Here's some of my stuff for you to have a listen too.... all performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic, conducted by Nic Raine!!

Nightmare After Dawn	Jun 4 2009 1:37 AM We should tour together someday once my band gets signed and has a couple of albums recorded. YEAHH! Whaddya think ;) ????????? Ah, if you can't, it's alright. But it would be killer. You just wait. Our third album is gonna be a concept album structured like an RPG or adventure game and its music will be extremely video game influenced. It'll have an amazing intro theme, lots of dramatic stuff, an intense boss battle, a victory song.... Ah, I can't wait my good sir!!!! Nightmare After Dawn	Apr 14 2009 4:22 AM Mr. Grant, I've really got to tell you how much I love the music in Banjo-Tooie's Grunty Industries. It's probably my favorite from the game. It sounds so polluted and bouncy. The best part is that brief modulation to f minor (or is it still just c minor, going from iv to flat II?), then it goes back to c minor, and goes back and forth between flat VII and major V. Oh, YEAH! And the brilliant melody with the tremolo marimba! It's like musical sex. I wish I knew what your thought process was when you came up with that incredible stuff. I've recently written something short I called "A Child's Pain" and recorded it with my keyboard. It's on our page if you'd like to take a listen. It might lift your mood if that's what you need.
