(In no particular order) Joe Sample, David Benoit, Tom Schuman, Bob James, Chick Corea, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Thomas Dolby, Howard Jones, and every other 80's synth player that made keyboards look so cool to me during my Jr. High and Highschool years.
Also, The Army Band (1988-1991) definitely influenced my playing "majorly" as well. (no pun intended!) ha-ha

I've been playing Keyboards/Piano since the age of 5 years old. Though I do play most styles of music including everything from Blues, Gospel, Rock, Jazz, Country to Polka, Television/Movie Music & everything in between, I especially enjoy playing Smooth Jazz.
Some of my favorite artists include David Benoit, Fourplay, Spyro Gyra, Joe Sample, Boney James, Marcus Johnson, Dave Koz & Chick Corea to name a few.
All of the music on the above samples were played/recorded by me.
I will be placing new songs on here every once in a while as they are arranged and recorded so check back often!
Oh MY!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the zillions of happy birthdays!!! Another year older...
I had a quiet day - but it more than made up for it yesterday with a massive storm. Luckily we didn't get hit by any tornadoes, but there are about 600 damaged homes and I hear that 200 of them have to be pulled down. Must have been as frightening as hell.
Hi Grant, thought I would drop in here today :) Was just over at facebook - those photo's of Nathan are gorgeous! He is very photogenic! Hope all is going well with "logic" - don't forget to send me that music file :)))
Hiya Grant, a busy week with lots to think about. We may be moving into the family home in the next few months, so are trying to figure out how it's going to happen... two houseloads of 'stuff'.. eek!
Pete's been stressed with his workload lately, so I may be going in to help more often while it's busy. Gets me out, and gets me some extra $$$, so can't be all bad.
Hope you had a great weekend. Nice and cool here - the kind of weather I love!
Helloooooo. How are things over there? How's the camper coming along? Can't wait to see a pic when it's all refurbished etc. Just having a nice glass of wine on a hot and humid evening and hoping to wint $43 million later tonight!!! YEAH!!!
Hey, just popping in to say hi and see how the new band is going :) Working on an abstract piece today and then tomorrow it's 'work from home', then off to the office on Friday. Class tonight gets into "audio recording" - should be lots of fun, or confusing, or both. Hugs Sally xx
Hiya Grant, All is well here - having fun with our software and computer programs, and of course the evening classes. WOW! Great to hear that you are out and playing live - how cool is that?! I have no doubt you are a great addition :) Any links we can find you at? heheh..
At class this week, they talked about this programme from "Melodyne" - it can split audio into notes so that you can fix mistakes - voice, guitar etc. I watched the video, and added the software to the wish list. Would be soooo much easier to fix a wrong note sung than re-record the whole thing. (lazy eh?). Looking forward to our long weekend here and just blobbing and playing music. Pete has had a long stretch at work with only a couple of days off in three weeks. Have a fab weekend yourselves, hugs to the family. Sally xxx
Hiya Grant, The new Cubase is going great! We also ended up buying the full version of Addictive Drums, although I reckon TrapKat would be way more fun! We've had a busy week, and Pete has just finished up a 12 day stint at work, so he is pretty much laid back and relaxing :) Had my second evening class for home recording and it was fun and interesting, but next week we start on MIDI.. yippeeee!! Have a great weekend, hugs Sal xxxx
Hey Grant, how are you doing? I pray all is well with you. The tune Mas Que Nada is REALLY hot. Is that your version of it? Really, really nice! Keep up the great work. Take care, Tammi Brown
Hiya! Well, Pete and I bit the bullet and bought an updated version of Cubase and it runs just fine!!! Had a bit of a play with the 600 midi sounds :)))) My course starts Wednesday night and I can't wait :)
Hope you have been having fun and not too busy. Sal x
Hello Grant, many thanks for your kind request, appreciating Chick's music and being our friend on this tribute page. Nice to meet you on here. Chick Corea Fans Corner
Sup Grant! We're doing okay. How's little Nathan doing? You guys are very lucky to have him. We are trying now, so hopefully soon, Nate will have a playmate. Say hi to Lori.
Hiya Grant, Not even close to even recording anything yet..hehe... we had to wait to get some software so we can use the Toshiba laptop - going to pick that up later this morning. Vista - sigh, so incompatible!
While picking it up, I can check on the course I have signed up for and see if there are any other ladies doing it..lol.. guess its a bloke thing eh?
Hey Daddy-O! How's it going? You became a daddy and you forgot the little people eh?! Hey I got engaged on Vday..yaay! We're thinking about a 2009 wedding..don't know the month yet, but I'll let you know so you can save the date. Say HI to Lori! Take care and keep in touch!
Hey Grant, How's that 'organizing' shaping up??? :)
Well, it had to happen - Pete went out and traded one of his amps in for a MIXER! We now have a Yamaha 12 track something or other..lol.. It's getting all serious here.
You can guess what we will be doing this weekend right?
HEY YOU!!!! You have a new tune.. and one of my ALL time faves... Morning Dance! I LOVE your version... well done!! *clap clap clap* - I'm going to put that on my page I think!
I hope all is well with you and yours, and you are settling into the roles of parents:)))
Had a bit of a paint today and finished one I did for myself, so happy with that. My other one is hopefully going up for sale once done. Seriously thinking of getting it framed first though and see if there is any interest in any of the local galleries... worth a try right?
