2007 Glass Roots Festival CDs Released
The Tacoma Arts Community announces the release of the 2007 Glass Roots Festival CD. This eclectic ten song collection was gleaned from performances by popular local musicians:

The CD can be purchased during Third Thursday Artwalk, February 21, at embellish multispace salon, 1121 Court D #A, Tacoma. The cost of the CD is ten dollars. While supplies last, the CD will be available at other art and community events during the year.
The second annual Glass Roots Festival, dedicated entirely to local artists and musicians, was held August 19, 2007. Festival organizers are currently planning for the third annual festival in August 2008, and are actively seeking bookings.
The Tacoma Arts Community is a group of creative visionaries dedicated to the promotion, development and economic sustainability of all the arts in the Tacoma region.

One Day Event - Sunday August 24th
The Events Committee for Tacoma Arts Community , a grass roots arts
group, is putting on Glassroots Arts Festival to showcase regional arts,
artists and artisans. We are proud to bring you the third annual GLASS ROOTS ARTS FESTIVAL for 2008 with a concept of YOUR vision of what art means in Tacoma. What is your Tacomanifesto? We want to hear your ideas and to present them to the community. We would like you to demonstrate your work as well give you the opportunity sell your works if you choose. In addition, there will be an opportunity for the local youths in the community to showcase their art created at Tacoma Art Place who may not normally have the advantage! to par ticipate in such an event.
Note: This street festival will focus on local artists/artisans of all media
Only goods created, designed, recorded, etc. in the region or by
someone living in the region are eligible.
The festival will be located outdoors downtown Tacoma, between 11th
and 13th Streets in Court D and Market Street.
Vendors: 10 X 10 booth space and 10 X 5 tables space are available. A canopy will not be provided...you must provide you own. It is highly recommended in case of foul weather.
Set up will start at 10am, break down to begin at 6:30pm

Hello, I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! The lights are up, the new stock is out, and the stage is set for our next event:
This weekend Dec 13 & 14 is Country Christmas in Port Gamble. There will be hay rides with Santa, a caroling contest, pictures with Santa for the children, a home made fruitcake contest and so very much more.
